    Abstract: Disclosed is a fraction collector for dispensing liquids into plural receptacles (P1,P2) arranged in a two dimensional array. The fraction collector comprises a table (22) for supporting said receptacles, and an arm supported above the table, in turn supporting a liquid dispenser (35), the fraction collector arm is rotatable about an arm axis (C) and the liquid dispenser is movable along the arm on a carriage 34 (FIG. 2). Thereby, the dispenser is low cost and is repositionable simply above the receptacles as a result of said rotation and as a result of said movement along the arm, without occupying too much laboratory bench space.

    Abstract: An imaging system includes: an imaging unit that images a subject; and a control unit that enables the imaging unit to perform pre-imaging one or more times, and main imaging one or more times following the pre-imaging; the control unit has an image generating portion that generates a subject image based on one or more taken images in each of the pre-imaging and the main imaging, an interface portion that displays the subject image and accepts a user input for setting at least a region-of-interest, of the region-of-interest and a non-region-of-interest of the subject image, a region setting portion as defined herein, an SN ratio calculating portion as defined herein, and a total light exposure time calculating portion as defined herein; and the control unit enables the imaging unit to perform the main imaging based on the total light exposure time.

    Abstract: A system and method for evaluation of an interaction between an analyte in a fluid sample and a ligand immobilized on a sensor surface of a biosensor is provided. In one example, the system includes a plurality of needles, each being arranged to inject a fluid sample to one of sensor surfaces or detection spots. A plurality of fluid samples, each containing known concentrations of analyte, is provided. The plurality of fluid samples may be divided into at least two groups, each group having a number of fluid samples corresponding to the number of needles. The system and method is configured to perform the injections without intermediate regeneration or renewal of the immobilized ligand. Software for performing the steps of the method and a computer readable medium for storing the software are also provided.

    Abstract: A flow distribution device for bioprocess systems, comprising: a flow distribution manifold (12; 112) comprising: at least four fluid connection conduits (14), wherein each fluid connection conduit (14) comprises a first end (18) for fluid connection and an opposite second end (20), and wherein at least three of the fluid connection conduits comprise a membrane (19a) and a valve seat (19b), which membrane (19a) can be put in at least two different positions in relation to the valve seat (19b) for allowing or preventing fluid flow between the first end (18) and the second end (20) of the fluid connection conduit (14); and a central common compartment (30) to which the second ends (20) of each of the fluid connection conduits (14) are connected, whereby the first ends (18) of each of the fluid connection conduits (14) can be in fluid communication with the central common compartment (30) and wherein the fluid connection conduits (14) are entering the central common compartment (30) from at least three different directions; wherein said flow distribution device (10) further comprises at least three membrane actuation members (41) which are provided in connection with one membrane (19a) of the flow distribution manifold (12; 112) each, wherein each of said membrane actuation members (41) is configured for actuating the membrane (19a) to be in at least two different positions in relation to the valve seat (19b), wherein a first position of the membrane (19a) allows flow between the first end (18) and the second end (20) of the fluid connection conduit (14) and a second position of the membrane (19a) prevents flow between the first end (18) and the second end (20) of the fluid connection conduit (14).

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a biological fluid processing system and method.     The volume tailorable manufacturing system comprises one or more multi-product suites and a control facility configured to control a unidirectional flow in a circulation system of the one or more multi-product suites. The circulation system is configured to interconnect the one or more multi-product suites and comprises separated supply and return systems. The supply system comprising at least one inlet, the return system comprising at least one outlet that is paired with the inlet and provided at a spatially predetermined position from the inlet, and each inlet/outlet pair comprises a seal when not connected to an adjacent multi-product suite.
