Abstract: A tray denesting apparatus is provided comprising a receptacle for holding at least one nested stack of packing trays. A conveyer belt is further provided for receiving each of the packing trays upon release from the receptacle. The denesting apparatus has at least one set of soft flexible suction cups disposed below the conveyer belt and which are disposed on a bellows assembly which is moveable between a first position and a second position so that at least one of the soft flexible suction cups may adhere to a first one of the packing trays, and successive packing trays. The tray denester further may include an automatic adjustment apparatus to correspond with selected size parameters of the trays being utilized. As a result, an individual tray may be removed from the receptacle, deposited on the conveyer belt and the conveyer belt then advancing the selected tray to the required area of use.

Abstract: A method to determine a distribution profile of an element in a film. The method comprises exciting an electron energy of an element deposited in a first film, obtaining a first spectrum associating with the electron energy, and removing a background spectrum from the first spectrum. Removing the background value generates a processed spectrum. The method further includes matching the processed spectrum to a simulated spectrum with a known simulated distribution profile for the element in a film comparable to the first film. A distribution profile is obtained for the element in the first film based on the matching of the processed spectrum to a simulated spectrum selected from the set of simulated spectra.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for testing radio frequency identification (RFID) tags are described. The tags are tested using a direct connection scheme, where a testing apparatus makes direct contact with a portion of a tag in order to perform a test on the tag. For example, the testing apparatus may read data from the tag to verify operation. Any number of tags may be tested at a time, including one tag at a time, or multiple tags in parallel.

Abstract: Circuits, apparatus, and methods for avoiding deadlock conditions in a bus fabric. One exemplary embodiment provides an address decoder for determining whether a received posted request is a peer-to-peer request. If it is, the posted request is sent as a non-posted request. A limit on the number of pending non-posted requests is maintained and not exceed, such that deadlock is avoided. Another exemplary embodiment provides an arbiter that tracks a number of pending posted requests. When the number pending posted requests reaches a predetermined or programmable level, a Block Peer-to-Peer signal is sent to the arbiter's clients, again avoiding deadlock.

Abstract: Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) shields for a direct-view display having a direct-view display panel and an outer panel that provides an outer surface for the direct-view display. These EMI shields include a conductive mesh having an array of gaps therein. The conductive mesh is configured to shield at least some of the EMI that is emitted by the direct-view display panel. An optical redirecting structure is also included, that is configured to redirect at least some optical radiation that is emitted from the direct-view display panel that would strike the conductive mesh, through the gaps in the conductive mesh. The EMI shield is configured to mount between the direct-view display panel and the outer panel such that the optical redirecting structure is adjacent the direct-view display panel and the conductive mesh is remote from the direct-view display panel.

Abstract: The amplitude and phase errors of the modulation and demodulation in a transceiver are corrected by a self-calibration procedure in which a test signal is applied to the baseband input of the transmitter, and the output of the modulator is looped back to the input of the demodulator. The amplitude and phase errors of the resulting signal at the baseband output of the receiver are detected, and the contributions of the transmitter and receiver to the errors are separated and resolved into amplitude and phase components. Adjustments are then made to the amplitude and phase balance in the transmit and receive signal paths to correct the errors.
