摘要： A system and method provide unaligned load/store functionality for a processor that supports only aligned load/store instructions. An exemplary embodiment includes an extension adapter including registers for storing data and load/store buffers for realigning data. A processor executes aligned load/store instructions that transfer data in multiples of bytes. Instructions are included for transferring data between memory and the load/store buffers, initializing and transferring data, initializing and transferring data in numbers of bits, advancing or offsetting a data pointer, and for flushing the load/store buffers. In a preferred embodiment, the extension adapter comprises a wide register file for buffering full words of data, load/store buffers formed from multiple single-bit registers for buffering data bits and streaming data for use by the processor, and address generators for pointing to data or memory addresses.

摘要： A device and method for removing or installing a vehicular component, such as a transmission or differential, from a vehicle. The device (1) includes a trolley (2) having an actuation means (3) thereon. A saddle like device (14) is engaged with the vehicular component (9), the saddle (14) utilizing a self-aligning guide channel (38) and roller (19) locating and engaging system. Once attached, the vehicular component (9) may be uniquely manoeuvred via the underside of the vehicle, effected by a pair of articulated arms (24) and (25) operated by a plurality of hydraulic cylinders (31) and (32) to achieve the required movement of the arms (24) and (25). The trolley may then be moved from under the vehicle, such that the transmission, differential or other vehicular component may then be easily accessed for servicing.

摘要： A method of reducing hard machining time, and correspondingly increasing hard machining tooling life, of a non plunging type constant velocity joint for use in reduced angle applications. The method comprises forming a recess having a larger formed radius in a portion of the ball track and cage track areas that is non-functional in low angle operations prior to heat treat hardening. The new process results in a significant reduction of approximately forty-five percent in the hard machining of the ball and cage track surfaces.

摘要： A frame system that converts to a four-leg support base for use with backpacks. The base eliminates the need to carry a tripod or monopod. Two threaded bosses are use to accommodate attachments such as a shooting rest or to accommodate surveillance or test equipment. The main part of the frame replaces the top hoop found on many external frame backpacks. The frame has two angled members that accept a pair of legs. These legs are made of several parts to permit many configurations. The frame can be removed from the backpack as well. This makes a free standing base that can be used in seated or prone positions; it also leaves the pack portion free to be used separately. Nylon sides or hoods can be attached to make the pack assembly act as a blind or a windbreak. Also, an aluminum table can be attached to the frame for cooking, etc., as desired.

摘要： An instrument for distracting and/or compressing adjacent vertebrae is described. The instrument includes a yoke, a first blade movably mounted to the yoke, a second blade mounted to the yoke and an adjustment system. The yoke, the first blade and the second blade form a working channel for the instrument. The adjustment system of the instrument is configured to adjust a spacing between the first blade and the second blade by selectively moving the first blade relative to the second blade to distract and/or compress adjacent vertebrae when the first blade and the second blade have been secured to the adjacent vertebrae. The instrument may include a depth stop system that limits an insertion depth of an associated tool inserted into the working channel of the instrument. The adjustable depth stop system includes a releasable catch for securing a stop element of the associated tool. A position of the releasable catch relative to the working channel is adjustable to vary the insertion depth of the associated tool.
