    Abstract: Embodiments are provided for managing and mitigation contention of high reliability and low latency transmissions in wireless communications networks. According to an embodiment, a network entity indicates a first grant to a first device associated with a first service. The first grant includes a first resource for transmitting for the first service and a second resource for retransmitting for the first service. The network entity also indicates a second grant to a second device associated with a second service. The second grant includes the first resource for transmitting for the second service and a third resource for retransmitting for the second service. A third grant is also indicated to a third device associated with a third service. The third grant includes the first resource for transmitting for the third service. The first service and the second service have higher transmission reliability and latency requirements than the third service.

    Abstract: A paging method is disclosed. In an embodiment a method for paging monitoring implemented by a user equipment (UE) includes hashing an identity of the UE to determine a paging frame in which a page is to be sent to the UE and to determine a position of an indicator in a bitmap to be sent to the UE, wherein a value of the indicator indicates whether a page message associated with a paging group to which the UE belongs is transmitted in a current paging cycle, selecting a first downlink beamformed beam from a plurality of beams within the determined paging frame, receiving the bitmap from the first downlink beam and determining that the value of the indicator indicates that the page message is transmitted in the current paging cycle and, based thereon, receiving and decoding the page message to determine whether the UE is being paged.

    Abstract: The method provided in this embodiment improves the capabilities of automatic driving and ADAS of electric vehicles. The method can be applied to vehicle networking, such as V2X, LTE-V, V2X, etc. The method includes receiving, from the mobile device, an indication of a requirement for transmission resources, comprising at least an indication that the resources are required with a periodicity, transmitting, to the mobile device, an assignment of a first scheduling configuration for the device-to-device connection, transmitting, to the mobile device, an indication to begin use of periodically recurring radio resources, and handing over responsibility for providing radio resources for the device-to-device connection from the network node to a target network node such that the availability of radio resources with the periodicity is substantially maintained.
