    摘要: The present application relates to methods and compositions for triggering RNAi. Triggered RNAi is highly versatile because the silencing targets are independent of the detection targets. In some embodiments, methods of silencing or modulating the expression of a target gene are provided. The methods generally comprise providing an initiator to a cell comprising a detection target and a silencing target gene, wherein the detection target is different from the silencing target gene, wherein binding of the detection target to the initiator initiates formation of an inactivator double-stranded RNA (inactivator dsRNA). The inactivator dsRNA can silence or modulate the expression of the silencing target gene.

    摘要: Apparatus and methods are described for encoding and decoding an enhancement layer. A deblocking filter is applied at the enhancement layer for bit depth scalability. The deblocking filter is adjusted to remove coding artifacts caused by local inverse tone mapping for intra-layer texture prediction for the bit depth scalability. The boundary strength of the deblocking filter is adjusted based on a threshold that, in turn, is based on a difference of inverse tone mapping parameters for a block and an adjacent block.

    摘要: Implementations may relate to various aspects of modifying, or using, a coded bitstream, or to recovering watermarking information from data. In one implementation, a coded bitstream is modified to allow for the application of a watermark to the coded bitstream without changing the coding of any other syntax elements in the bitstream. This is performed by identifying conditions necessary to change a coded syntax element without disrupting the interpretation of subsequent coded elements. The coded syntax element is replaced with another coded value if the modified value generates the same decoding variables as the original value would have generated. Particular implementations focus on syntax elements coded using entropy coding, including, for example, Context-based Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding (CABAC). Regardless of the type of coding or watermarking, various implementations may provide for recovering watermarking information. Particular implementations recover watermarking information using detection data and feature information.

    摘要: The present embodiments relate to engineering imaging probes based on “triggered molecular geometry.” Upon detection of a molecular signal, nucleic acid hairpin monomers assemble an imageable molecular shape with prescribed geometry. In some embodiments the prescribed shape can be imaged directly. In some embodiments, the prescribed shape can serve as a spatial organizer or amplification scheme for other imaging entities, such as fluorophore and fluorescent proteins.
