摘要: An electric power steering device in which a motor shaft and a rack bar form a diagonal intersection. The power transmission includes: a drive gear rotating in tandem with the motor shaft and forming a bevel gear with linearly extending teeth; a ball screw mechanism disposed co-axial with the rack bar and converting a rotational motion to a linear motion; and a driven gear rotating in tandem with a nut of the ball screw mechanism, meshing with and moving in tandem with the drive gear, and forming a bevel gear with linearly extending teeth. The drive gear and/or the driven gear can be adjusted so that backlash between the two elements can be adjusted in a continuous, non-stepped manner.

摘要: The present invention provides an analog quantity display method of counting displacement of a probe disposed in contact with an object to be measured and analog-displaying the obtained count value by an analog display section as an analog quantity. If a peak value of the count value exceeds a possible analog-display range of the analog display section, an offset provided for the analog-displayed count value is updated in such a manner that the peak value is displayed within the possible analog-display range. Further, an analog quantity measuring method is provided, which comprises counting displacement of the probe, compares the obtained count value with a peak value of the count value, holds the count value as a new peak value depending upon a result of the comparison, and executes the comparison and the holding of the peak value again if the difference between the present peak value and the present count value exceeds a predetermined value. The analog quantity display and measuring methods are applicable to a digital/analog display type measuring instrument comprising a counter for counting the displacement of the probe in contact with the measured object, a digital display section for digitally displaying the count value, and an analog display section located adjacent to the digital display section, for displaying the count value as the bar graph comprising the large number of analog bars arranged in juxtaposition in one direction.

摘要: In an automotive door weather strip arrangement, including a primary door weather strip for sealing an inner gap between a door sash of an automotive door and a body panel, and a secondary door weather strip for sealing an outer gap between the door sash and the body panel, a first seal lip extending from the primary door weather strip overlaps a second seal lip extending from an opposing surface of the secondary door weather strip. Thus, a favorable sealing can be achieved by the slidable contact between the first seal lip and the second seal lip. Because the contact pressure between the two seal lips is not affected by the deformation of either one of the door weather strips, a permanent set of the seal lips can be avoided. Because the contact area between the two seal lips extends over an area of a certain size, a highly effective and durable sealing performance can be achieved.

摘要: An ultrasonic scanning instrument uses a probe formed by arranging a plurality of oscillator pieces aligned on a flexible base plate. The oscillator pieces each transmit ultrasonic waves into a target body and receive reflected waves. Sensors are attached to the flexible base plate to detect degrees of flexure of the base plate. The flexible base plate becomes curved according to the curved contact surface of the target body and its degree of flexure measured by the sensors is incorporated into a sectional view displayed on a display device.
