A first display mode for displaying only one main frame MD selected, a second display mode for displaying a selected main frame MD in a reduced size with one or more subsidiary frames SD1, SD2 selected, and a third display mode for displaying a plurality of main frames MD selected are provided, where a switchover between the first, second and third display modes can be carried out. In the first display mode, characters, etc. are displayed in a large size, so that data displayed can be clearly read. In the third display mode, a large amount of information is displayed and hence can be monitored on the screen at a time. In the second display mode, the size of characters is medium and the amount of information is medium. An optimal display mode is selected according to need.

摘要： A measuring instrument that includes a tube 21 having a female thread 211 and a spindle 3 having a lead screw 31 screwing with the female thread 211 and capable of being advanced and retracted in an axial direction along with rotation around the axial center, and measures dimensions etc. of a workpiece according to displacement in an axial direction of the spindle 3 based on a rotation amount of the spindle 3. According to this measuring instrument, a pitch P of the lead screw 31 is twice as large or more than the difference between an external diameter R and a core diameter r thereof, and the difference between the external diameter R and the core diameter r is one-fifth or less of the external diameter R. Because of the lead screw 31 with the large pitch, the spindle 3 can be moved at high speed, thus enhancing operational performance of the measuring instrument.

摘要： The image reading device scans film images on photographic film by a CCD line sensor, and transfers image data, which are read out from the CCD line sensor, to an external image receiving device via a line buffer. If a data receiving side comes into a busy state and the data cannot be transferred for some time, the line buffer overflows. When an overflow detecting section detects the overflow, the writing of the image data in the line buffer is stopped, so that the film images can be scanned again. While the film images are scanned again, a communication controller detects image data corresponding to the image data when the overflow is detected, so that the writing of the image data in the line buffer can be resumed from a point when the correspondence is detected.

摘要： An IC memory card includes an input/output unit attachable to or detachable from a host processing apparatus, a storage unit having a semiconductor memory for storing data, and a control unit for performing write control of data transmitted from the host processing apparatus into the storage unit and read control of the data stored in the storage unit, which is to be transferred to the host processing apparatus. In such an IC memory card, the storage unit is provided with a fixed area in which fixed information not to be overwritten has previously been written and with a variable area in which rewritable data and management information for the rewritable data are written. The control unit includes an address detector for detecting if the fixed area of the storage unit is accessed and for generating a detection signal if such an access occurs. A read/write controller is included for providing such a control that when the address detector detects the fact that the fixed area of the storage unit is accessed, a control signal for writing of data supplied from the host processing apparatus is masked by the detection signal so as to inhibit the data from being written into the storage unit.

摘要： A neural network circuit including a number n of weight coefficients (W1-Wn) corresponding to a number n of inputs, subtraction circuits for determining the difference between inputs and the weight coefficients in each input terminal, the result thereof being inputted into absolute value circuits, all calculation results of the absolute value circuits corresponding to the inputs and the weight coefficients being inputted into an addition circuit and accumulated, and this accumulation result determining the output valve. A threshold valve circuit determines the final output value, according to a step function pattern, a polygonal line pattern, or a sigmoid function pattern, depending on the object. In the case in which a neural network circuit is realized by means of digital circuits, the absolute value circuits can include simply EX-OR logic (exclusive OR) gates. Furthermore, in the case in which the input terminals have two input paths and two weight coefficients corresponding to each input path, the neuron circuits form a recognition area having a flexible shape which is controlled by the weight coefficients.
