Abstract: Various embodiments include systems, methods and devices for reducing the burden on mobile devices of memory data collection for memory forensics. Various embodiments may include monitoring for changes sections or portions of memory within the computing device that been identified by a network device based on a prior memory snapshot. When changes are detected, the computing device may determine whether data changes in the monitored sections or portions of memory satisfy a criterion for transmitting an incremental snapshot of memory. Such criteria may be defined in information received from the network device. When the criteria are satisfied, the computing device may transmit an incremental memory snapshot to the network device. The computing device may transmit to the network device results of analysis of the data changes observed in the memory. Various embodiments may be performed in a secure environment or in a memory collection processor within the computing device.

Abstract: Embodiments may automatically place access points (APs) on floor plans by incorporating a number of conventions for identifying types and locations of APs. These conventions may include the name of APs, MAC addresses, lat/lon information, and feature analysis or image recognition techniques for matching visual cues if the AP locations are marked on images. Some embodiment may conduct several other operations to optimize placement of APs. These optimization operations may reduce the number of steps needed to place APs on floor plans, and/or may reduce extraneous and superfluous information from the floor plans that may clutter the annotated floor plan map.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods for selecting a base station or a set of base stations for RTT measurements, or other interactive radio localization technique, to determine a position fix of a device are presented. The method imposes a processing load on only inactive or less active base stations. Busy or busier base stations are not used in the interactive radio localization technique. By imposing a processing load on only less active base stations, transmitting devices may be under loaded and encounter a more uniform processing delay, and thus provide a more accurate measurement resulting in a more accurate position fix.

Abstract: An example method of synchronizing application data between a mobile device and a remote computing device includes for each network of one or more networks, collecting network data regarding a mobile device's current connectivity state to the respective network. The mobile device includes one or more mobile applications including application data. The method also includes detecting, at the mobile device, a current connection to a current network. The method further includes comparing one or more opportunity scores for synchronizing application data. The one or more opportunity scores includes an opportunity score for the current network. Each opportunity score is associated with a particular network. The method also includes determining, based on the comparing, whether the current network is a good opportunity network for syncing mobile application data.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods for determining a location of a mobile device are presented. Often a mobile device requests assistance data from a location server. If the mobile device expects a significant delayed response in receiving the assistance data, the mobile device may determine a seed location or rough location estimate from a server. The mobile device may also request a map to display and/or a data structure for its estimator. The mobile device may preload the estimator with the rough location estimate and/or the data structure. After preloading, the estimator determines a location of the mobile device. Also, the mobile device may show the map to a user via a display.
