摘要: A method, system and apparatus for a low bed pressure drop circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler associated with fast bed CFB combustion are disclosed. The CFB boiler may be operated according to the following set of conditions. In an upper area of a combustor of the boiler, a flow pattern of the two-phase gas-solid flow may be placed in a fast bed fluidization state. The combustor temperature may be within a range of 850° C.-930° C. The fluidizing air velocity may be within 4 m/s and 6.2 m/s. An average size of a bed material in the combustor may be smaller than 300 μm. The gas-solid flow above of the secondary air inlet in the combustor may be kept in the fast bed fluidization state while maintaining a solid concentration of between 1 kg/m3 to 5 kg/m3. An inventory of bed material per unit area and/or the pressure drop in the combustor may be less than 8 kPa.

摘要: A chamber formed from an electrically conductive material is connected to a ground potential. A hot electrode formed from an electrically conductive material is disposed within the chamber in a substantially horizontal orientation and is physically separated from the chamber. The hot electrode includes a top surface defined to support a part to be measured. A radiofrequency (RF) transmission rod is connected to extend from a bottom surface of the hot electrode through an opening in a bottom of the chamber and be physically separated from the chamber. The RF transmission rod is defined to transmit RF power from a conductor plate in an electrical components housing to the hot electrode. An upper electrode formed from an electrically conductive material is disposed within the chamber in a substantially horizontal orientation. The upper electrode is electrically connected to the chamber and is defined to be movable in a vertical direction.

摘要: Characterizing dielectric properties of a part includes placing a full-sized part within a dielectric property measurement apparatus. In one embodiment, the full-sized part is a dielectric part of a plasma processing system. The dielectric property measurement apparatus is operated to determine a dielectric constant value of the full-sized part and a loss tangent value of the full-sized part. The determined dielectric constant and loss tangent values are affixed to the full-sized part.

摘要: The invention includes a three-dimensional printing (3DP) machine that has at least one ultraviolet (UV) light source directed at powder or slurry being processed by the 3DP machine and/or directed at any of various surfaces or machine components, in a manner suitable to kill or damage microorganisms to a desired extent. The UV light sources may be either stationary or movable, and may be either pulsed or substantially continuous, and may operate in any desired sequence and timing with respect to other operations performed by the machine. The invention may include ultraviolet illumination in such a way as to interact with powder to sterilize or disinfect powder either while the powder is stationary or, alternatively, as powder is being moved from one place to another within the 3DP machine, or both. The invention also includes methods of performing three-dimensional printing using such illumination. The invention also includes the combination of other methods of sterilization or disinfection with the use of ultraviolet light. The invention also includes the use of ultraviolet light sources for a combination of polymerization/cross-linking in addition to sterilization/disinfection.

摘要: For authentication, authorization and accounting of a user, an AAA server in whose domain the user initialized a session for authentication and authorization of the user with the user's home domain is set as an anchor AAA server. During a handover of the user between different access nodes during the session, session update message to and from the anchor AAA server is used to update the session path. The downstream pointer from the home domain's AAA server to the anchor AAA server is kept unchanged.

摘要: The invention relates to an isolated nucleic acid encoding a eukaryotic Survival of Motor Neuron-Interacting Protein 1 (SIP1), compositions comprising SIP1 and SIP1 and the spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) disease gene product Survival of Motor Neuron protein (SMN), and diagnostic and therapeutic assays directed to SMA. The invention also relates to another protein that specifically interacts with SMN and is a component of gems, designated Gemin3, and the nucleic acid encoding the protein. Additionally, the invention relates to a novel cell line wherein the endogenous SMN genes have been deleted and where an exogenous nucleic acid encoding SMN has been inserted into the cell such that expression of SMN in the cell is under the control of an inducible promoter. This novel cell line provides a stable genetic system for the study of SMA and for the development of SMA therapeutics.
