摘要: A process for removing hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from a H2S-containing gas composition includes charging a liquid to a reactor under continuous agitation and dispersing particles of a zinc-based zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) in the liquid to form a ZIF-8 mixture. The method further includes introducing the H2S-containing gas composition to the reactor containing the ZIF-8 mixture under continuous agitation and passing the H2S-containing gas composition through the ZIF-8 mixture. In addition, the method includes adsorbing the H2S from the H2S-containing gas composition onto the ZIF-8 to remove the H2S from the H2S-containing gas composition and form a purified gas composition.

摘要: A system for reducing carbon dioxide emissions from a flue gas generated via combusting a fossil fuel is provided. The system includes a carbonator and a classifier. The carbonator is configured to receive the flue gas and carbon absorbing particles. The classifier is fluidly connected to the carbonator and configured to receive a mixture that includes heat-transferring particles and the carbon absorbing particles. The mixture is fluidized within the classifier via the flue gas at a velocity such that the flue gas entrains and transports the carbon absorbing particles to the carbonator while the heat-transferring particles are not entrained nor transported to the carbonator.

摘要: A flue gas is cleaned by feeding same to a filtering separator. The filtering separator is accommodated in a housing, and the housing has a pre-filter side ahead of the filtering separator and a clean side following the filtering separator in the flue gas flow direction. A filter element has an adsorbent formed of dust-free spheroidal charcoal on the clean side of the housing. The flue gas flows through the adsorbent in the filter element. Harmful substances from the group including mercury and/or dioxin and/or furan and/or further heavy metals are thereby removed from the flue gas.

摘要: A system and method for processing unconditioned syngas first removes solids and semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOC), then removes volatile organic compounds (VOC), and then removes at least one sulfur containing compound from the syngas. Additional processing may be performed depending on such factors as the source of syngas being processed, the products, byproducts and intermediate products desired to be formed, captured or recycled and environmental considerations.

摘要: A device and method for producing a reformate fuel from a hydrocarbon gas source. The invention enables the conversion of a dilute hydrocarbon gas into a more easily consumable reformate fuel. Gases having low concentrations of hydrocarbons are concentrated using a concentrator into a gaseous or liquid concentrated VOC fuel. The concentrated VOC fuel is then converted into a reformate using a reformer. The reformate is more easily consumed by an energy conversion device such as a combustion engine, fuel cell, sterling engine or similar device that converts chemical energy into kinetic or electrical energy. The reformer enables complex hydrocarbon fuels that are not normally suitable for use in an energy conversion device to be converted into a reformate. The reformate may be directly supplied into the energy conversion device.
