The electronic camera has an imaging device that images a subject with subject reflectance R (%) with a dynamic range wider than that at displaying or printing to acquire image data and a recording device that converts the image data acquired by the imaging device with a predetermined function and records the converted image data and the information on the function as digital values (digit). Therefore, a printed image with an automatically or manually corrected density can be obtained at the displaying or the printing.
Abstract:
There is disclosed an image processing method for generating a mosaic of images. The method includes selecting a cover image from a plurality of images and dividing the cover image into a number of grid blocks. For each grid block, the average color (or other parameter) is calculated and each grid block is assigned a sub-content based on the color matching. Mosaic generation information is transmitted to a server, the mosaic generation information including a list of sub-content to be displayed in the mosaic, each sub-content including corresponding grid block location information. A server verifies whether each of the sub-content exists on the server and transmits sub-content not present on the server, to the server. The mosaic is displayed on a display of a portable terminal the sub-content using the mosaic generation information so that the cover image is reproduced to form of a mosaic of sub-content that represents the cover image and each sub-content includes additional information specific to each sub-content.

An Internet direct device comprises an imaging system to capture at least one of audio, still images and video images, and a microprocessor. The microprocessor transmits at least one of the captured audio, the captured still images and the captured video images to a website archive and review center and/or another Internet direct device upon image capture over a communications network. The Internet direct device automatically connects to the communications network on power-up using one of a plurality of available modes of connection, which is designated as a primary mode of connection. The Internet direct device automatically switches to another available mode of connection when the communications network is unavailable.

The device further incorporates a package that bears the visual sensors and the visual information disposition subsystem, and is suitable to be held in a human hand.

A technique of directly and simply operating image data stored in an external storage device using a camera is provided. To accomplish this, an image processing device connectable to a network, comprises a connection unit configured to connect to an imaging device, an acquisition unit configured to acquire image data captured by the imaging device from an external device on the network, in accordance with a user operation on the imaging device, and a display control unit configured to display the image data acquired by the acquisition unit and image data stored in the imaging device in accordance with a display unit of the imaging device.
