    摘要: Embodiments are provided for an antenna element design with high aperture efficiency and stable gain across a frequency range. In an embodiment, the antenna element is obtained by placing a conductive layer on a dielectric substrate, forming a slot in the conductive layer, and forming two feed lines inside the dielectric substrate. A dielectric layer is placed on the dielectric substrate and over the conductive layer and the slot. A circular or elliptical conductive wall is formed inside the dielectric layer. A conductive element is also formed on the dielectric layer and over the slot. One or more second dielectric layers are placed on the dielectric layer and over the conductive element. A second circular or elliptical conductive wall is formed inside each second dielectric layer. A second conductive element is also formed on each second dielectric layer, over the conductive element.

    摘要: There is provided an antenna device which can suitably tilt directivity of an antenna. The antenna device includes a dielectric substrate, a conductive plate arranged on one surface of the dielectric substrate, a first slot element to which electric power is supplied from a power supply line, which has an electrical length having an approximately ½ wavelength of use frequency of the antenna device, and which is formed in the conductive plate, a second slot element which has an electrical length longer than that of the first slot element, and which is formed in the conductive plate to be substantially parallel to the first slot element by leaving a gap of an approximately ¼ wavelength of the electrical length from the first slot element, and a ground conductor arranged to be substantially parallel to the conductive plate by leaving a predetermined gap from the conductive plate.

    摘要: A display device includes a display panel and a directional antenna. The directional antenna is disposed behind or under the display panel for radiating or receiving wireless signals. The radiating path of the directional antenna is at a specific angle with respect to a horizontal plane for receiving surrounding wireless signals. Or, the signals radiated from the directional antenna may be reflected or refracted to regions above or in front of the display device by a back-side barrier or penetrate a back-side barrier which does not cause large electromagnetic degradation, thereby receiving wireless signals originated from the front-side or back-side of the display device.

    摘要: Using two simple antennas with different frequencies of operation combined into an antenna arrangement a directional radiation pattern is obtained for both frequencies of operation. This is achieved by placing the antennas such that the first antenna acts as a director for the second antenna at the frequency of operation of the second antenna and the second antenna acts as a reflector for the first antenna at the frequency of operation of the first antenna. In the case of a monopole antenna the the first antenna is shorter than the second antenna and can thus operate as a director while the second antenna is longer than the first antenna and can thus act as a reflector.

    摘要: In a microstrip antenna, a dielectric member is disposed on a grounded conductive plate. A patch antenna element is disposed on the dielectric member. Each of a plurality of conductive rods has an electrical length corresponding to one quarter of a wavelength at a resonance frequency of the microstrip antenna. The rods are arranged on an edge portion of a face of the conductive plate facing the patch antenna element, with an interval which is an electric length corresponding to a half or less of the wavelength at the resonance frequency, such that each of the rods extends perpendicularly to the conductive plate while one end thereof is electrically connected to the conductive plate.

    摘要: A directional antenna having a number, N, of outlying monopole antenna elements. These monopole elements are formed as a first upper conductive segment on a portion of a dielectric substrate. The array also includes the same number, N, of image elements. The image elements are formed as a second set of lower conductive segments on the same substrate as the upper conductive segments. The image elements, generally having the same length and shape as the monopole elements, are connected to a ground reference potential. To complete the array, an active antenna element is also disposed on the same substrate, adjacent to at least one of the monopole elements. In a preferred arrangement, the passive monopole elements and corresponding image elements are selectively connected to operate to in either a reflective or directive mode, such as via a switchable coupling circuit that selectively changes the impedances connected between them.
