摘要: A solution including a noncontact electronic measurement device is provided. The measurement device includes one or more imaging devices configured to acquire image data of a surface of an object located in a measurement region relative to the measurement device and one or more projected pattern generators configured to generate divergent pattern(s) of structured light, which impact the surface of the object within a field of view of the imaging device when the object is located in the measurement region. Using image data acquired by the imaging device(s), a computer system can measure a set of attributes of the surface of the object and/or automatically determine whether the measurement device is within the measurement region. An embodiment is configured to be held by a human user during operation.

摘要: An abrasion inspection apparatus includes: a first imaging unit installed on a track along which a vehicle is traveling, a guide wheel installed on the vehicle, the first imaging unit imaging an inside of the track; a second imaging unit installed on the track in a vehicle traveling direction with respect to the first imaging unit and imaging the inside of the track; an image acquisition unit acquiring a first image of a boundary of the guide wheel captured by the first imaging unit on a first direction side in the vehicle traveling direction, and a second image of the boundary of the guide wheel captured by the second imaging unit at the same time on an opposite side to the first direction side; and a guide wheel detection unit detecting an abrasion situation of the guide wheel according to a position of a boundary indicated in the acquired images.

摘要: A system for retarding the speed of a railcar comprises a brake; a hydraulic actuator moving the brake between a closed position in which the brake applies braking pressure on the wheel of a railcar, and an open position in which the brake does not apply braking pressure on the wheel of the railcar; a hydraulic circuit provided with a pump arrangement for supplying hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic actuator; and a control circuit coupled to the hydraulic circuit for controlling the flow of hydraulic fluid to move the brake between the closed and open positions.

摘要: A method includes obtaining creep measurements and tractive/braking measurements from at least one vehicle system at different locations along a route segment while the at least one vehicle system moves through the route segment. The method also includes calculating tribology characteristics of the route segment at the different locations. The tribology characteristics are based on the creep measurements and the tractive/braking measurements from the at least one vehicle system. The tribology characteristics are indicative of a friction coefficient of the route segment at the different locations. The method also includes determining an effectiveness of a friction modifier applied to the route segment based on the tribology characteristics.

The drive component may comprise a transfer component. The combination position lock and drive mechanism disconnect may comprise: a drive disengage latch; a secondary lock latch selectably alternatively engagable between strikers; a manual drive receiver simultaneously operationally engagable with both the drive disengage latch and the secondary lock latch, and comprising a manual drive work output operationally engagable with the manual drive work input; and an automatic release.

摘要: A lifting device for lifting a rail car includes a frame with a load plate movably disposed thereon and a back plate movably disposed on the frame and coupled to the load plate. The lifting device further includes a first actuator disposed on the frame and operatively coupled to the back plate and at least one second actuator operatively coupled to the load plate such that the first actuator and the at least one second actuator produce forces in first and second directions. Further still, the first actuator and the at least one second actuator move the load plate of the lifting device in a substantially vertical direction.
