Abstract:
A system and method for controlling a refrigerator capable of transmitting and receiving information over an external communication network. A display unit is installed on the front surface of the refrigerator, and a touch panel is connected to the display unit to input a variety of user commands. A schedule management function, a self-diagnosis management function and a component replacement time management function are performed and, if an emergency situation occurs while those functions are performed, a pop-up message is outputted to the screen and information related to the pop-up message is transmitted over the external communication network. Therefore, the user can recognize an emergency situation at an accurate date, manage the refrigerator more efficiently and rapidly and handle information more conveniently. A touch panel and a radio remote controller are selectively used to input a variety of function key signals enabling a user to watch television through the display unit. Therefore, during housekeeping, the user can conveniently watch the television, enter desired key signals or check delivered mails or character messages based on key inputs entered by himself or herself. A camera and microphone are provided to send and receive image and voice mails, thereby removing the inconvenience of key input.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a tuning circuit, more specifically to a tuning circuit for continuous-time filter capable of making exact the Gm value to minimize the variation of the cutoff frequency due to the variation of process in the Gm-C type of continuous-time filter. According to the invention, a frequency tuning circuit is provided which comprises integrating means for generating a signal discharging from a first reference voltage to a first predetermined value and a signal charging from a second reference voltage to a second predetermined value; offset sampling means for sampling the offset voltages of the Gm cells by receiving a current multiplied by the offset voltages from the Gm cells included in the integrating means and providing a feedback path between the output nodes and the input nodes of the included Gm cells; comparative signal generating means for generating a comparative signal by generating a reference signal by dividing a clock inputted from the external, receiving the signal discharging from the first reference voltage to the first predetermined value and the signal charging from the second reference voltage to the second predetermined value from the integrating means, and comparing the actual intersection and the target intersection of these signals; and control means for generating a control signal to regulate the Gm values of the integrating means and the offset sampling means by receiving the reference signal and the comparative signal from the comparative signal generating means and detecting the phase differences therebetween.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for assigning resource allocation according to different data transmission rate in a wireless local loop (WLL) system, wherein a radio distribution unit (RDU) connects radio carrier station (RCSs) and a local exchange (LE) through a plurality of trunks having a plurality of time slots for exchanging call set-ups and information signals. The method includes the steps of requesting a call for data service to the RDU and transmitting information of the trunk on the requested call assigned by the RCS and the LE, confirming by the RDU whether the first sub-time slot of the first time slot of the assigned trunk and the first time slot are in idle state, requesting the RDU render data service if the first sub-time slot in the first time slot of the assigned trunk and the first time slot are in idle state, checking the data transmission rate of the requested call, reserving the idle sub-time slots according to the data transmission type, setting the remaining sub-time slots into a busy state, storing the set-up results for the sub-time slots, and after the data transmission, releasing the sub-time slot to further the data transmission by converting the sub-time slots that are previously set to busy state into an idle state.

Abstract:
There is provided a method for forming element isolation insulating film of a semiconductor device by employing PBL method for reducing the bird's beak and increasing the length of the effective active region. The method comprising the steps of forming a pad-oxide film, a stack-silicon film, and a nitride film on a semiconductor substrate in sequence; forming an element isolation region by selectively patterning the nitride film with an etching process by using an element isolation mask; and forming an element isolation film by field-oxidizing the element isolation region over the semiconductor substrate.
Abstract:
A Printed Circuit Board (PCB) card for insertion in a computer expansion slot and a method of making such a PCB card are disclosed. The PCB card includes packages disposed at least partially between a top face portion and a bottom face portion of the PCB, which improves the mounting density and heat dissipation for the packages.
Abstract:
A method for isolating the elements of semiconductor devices, in which bird's beak can be restrained by accumulating nitrogen atoms between a pad oxide film and a silicon substrate and the etch depth of a silicon substrate can be controlled by use of wet etch to remove the oxide which is grown on the silicon substrate at a low temperature after formation of nitride spacer, thereby reproducing good profiles of the field oxide film.
