The present invention provides a method of transmitting broadcast signals. The method includes, formatting input streams into Data Pipe, DP, data; Low-Density Parity-Check, LDPC, encoding the DP data according to a code rate; bit interleaving the LDPC encoded DP data; mapping the bit interleaved DP data onto constellations according to one of QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation), NUQ (Non-Uniform QAM) or NUC (Non-Uniform Constellation); Multi-Input Multi-Output, MIMO, encoding the mapped DP data by using a MIMO encoding matrix having a MIMO encoding parameter; building at least one signal frame by mapping the MIMO encoded DP data; and modulating data in the built signal frame by an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing, OFDM, method and transmitting the broadcast signals having the modulated data.

The service guide information transmission method, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: generating service guide information including information on broadcast service and content; encoding the generated service guide information; and transmitting the encoded service guide information.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting a broadcast signal is proposed. In the method of transmitting the broadcast signal, a system capable of supporting future broadcast services in an environment supporting future hybrid broadcast using terrestrial broadcast networks and the Internet is proposed. In addition, efficient signaling methods using both terrestrial broadcast networks and the Internet in an environment supporting future hybrid broadcast is proposed.

The method for transmitting broadcast signals, the method comprising encoding service data, encoding signaling data, building at least one signal frame including the encoded service data and the encoded signaling data; modulating data in the built at least one signal frame by an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex) scheme and transmitting the broadcast signals having the modulated data, wherein the modulating step includes performing a power normalization for each OFDM symbol in a time domain.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for supporting hybrid broadcasting in a digital broadcasting system. The present invention provides an apparatus for receiving a broadcast content via one or more networks. The apparatus comprises a broadcast network interface for receiving a broadcast stream including a first portion of the broadcast content via a broadcast network; a heterogeneous network interface for receiving a heterogeneous stream including a second portion of the broadcast content via a heterogeneous network; and wherein the broadcast stream further includes timeline reference signaling information containing metadata for synchronizing streams transmitted via the one or more networks, and wherein the timeline reference signaling information includes at least one timeline reference information reconstituting timeline of at least one of the broadcast stream and the heterogeneous stream, a processor for configuring the broadcast content using the broadcast stream and the heterogeneous stream based on the timeline reference signaling information. The present invention is effective in easily synchronizing transport streams transmitted through each of heterogeneous networks.
