摘要: A disk drive. The disk drive includes: a head for accessing a data recording area of a disk; an actuator for pivoting to move the head; a voice coil motor; and, a latch configured to lock the actuator from pivoting toward the data recording area in response to an external force. The voice-coil motor includes a voice coil, a magnet, and a yoke. The latch is positioned at a closed position when the actuator is positioned at a stand-by position, and is configured to pivot by application of a magnetic bias force with pivoting of the actuator from the stand-by position into proximity with the data recording area such that the latch is configured to stop at an open position. The yoke includes a protrusion which protrudes toward the magnetic body at the open position.

摘要: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus according to the present invention includes: a transmitting section 102 driving an ultrasonic probe; a receiving section 103 receiving an ultrasonic echo, produced by getting an ultrasonic wave reflected by a subject, at the probe to generate a received signal; a tissue tracking section 105 for tracking the motion of each tissue of the subject based on the received signal and outputting location tracking information; a radius and wall thickness calculating section calculating the radius and wall thickness of the blood vessel; a tissue attribute value calculating section 108 calculating radial and circumferential elasticities of the vascular wall of the vessel based on information about the blood pressure of the subject provided externally, the tracking information, and the radius and wall thickness of the vessel; and a display section 107 presenting the radial and circumferential elasticities. While the transmitting section and the receiving section are transmitting or receiving the ultrasonic wave, the tissue attribute value calculating section calculates the radial elasticities one after another based on the tracking information and the information about the blood pressure, and the display section presents the radial elasticities. But while the transmission and reception of the ultrasonic waves are suspended, the tissue attribute value calculating section calculates the circumferential elasticity based on the tracking information, the information about the blood pressure, and the radius and wall thickness of the blood vessel and the display section presents the circumferential elasticities.

摘要: Video data of a plurality of different formats is mixedly recorded onto one disc-shaped recording medium so that they can be continuously reproduced. A clip is constructed by video data, audio data, auxiliary AV data, and time-sequential meta data which are time-sequentially associated. The data is managed by a directory structure. The data constructing the clip is collectively stored into clip directories under a directory CLPR. When the format of, for example, the video data is changed during the recording, the clip is divided at the changing position, a clip directory is newly formed, and a new clip is formed. The mixture existence of the formats among the clip directories is permitted. The mixture existence of the formats in the file stored in the clip directory is not permitted.

摘要: A subject-side apparatus 10A is provided with a cine memory 15 for sequentially storing an ultrasonic signal that is received by an ultrasonic wave transmission/reception portion 12 per each frame. Every time after freezing when moving a pointer for designating a frame to be reproduced in a hospital-side apparatus 20A, a communication line interface 14 of the subject-side apparatus reproduces a frame that is required to be retransmitted by a console 24 of the hospital-side apparatus from the cine memory, and retransmits it to a communication line interface 21 of the hospital-side apparatus via a communication line 30. Then, an ultrasonic image of the retransmitted frame is displayed on a monitor 23. When an examiner performs a diagnosis with respect to a subject in a remote location via the communication line, an ultrasonic image can be displayed with sufficiently suppressed degradation of an image quality compared with an image quality of an original image, even at a low data rate of the communication line.

摘要: A table which includes entries corresponding to frames in one-to-one relationship is generated. Information of each frame is described in each entry according to a display order. When video data has a frame rate of 24 frames/sec, a dummy entry is inserted for every four frames. A top_field_first flag, a repeat_first_field flag, and a picture type flag are described in each entry. A frame to be displayed is generated based on these flags. The present invention can be applied to an optical disc apparatus.
