    摘要: In a system and method for the registration of images of a subject using magnetic resonance, the positions of one or more markings arranged at the subject and movable together therewith are detected with an acquisition system operated independently of and in parallel with the diagnostic image generating and registration operation of the magnetic resonance system. These positions serve as a criterion for identifying the orientation of the subject relative to the diagnostic imaging system, and the tomogram plane of interest is re-adjusted dependent on the positions of the markings.

    摘要: In an integrated asthma analysis and therapy determination method, a patient is administered hyperpolarized gas and an magnetic resonance (MR) scan is conducted to obtain a first MR image set, and the patient is then administered an allergen provoker and is again administered hyperpolarized gas and another MR scan is conducted, to obtain a second MR image set. This is followed by administering asthma therapeutics and again administering hyperpolarized gas to the subject, and another MR scan is conducted to obtain a third image data set. The first, second and third image data sets are compared among each other in order to determine the effect of the allergen provoker and the effect of the asthma therapeutics, in order to determine an appropriate medication dosage for the subject.

    摘要: In a method for monitoring growth disorder therapy, a magnetic resonance image of a skeletal body portion, such as a hand, of a candidate for growth disorder therapy is obtained using an open magnetic resonance scanner and using an imaging sequence to produce a tomogram having a slice thickness which approximates the thickness of the hand. The number of visible wrist bones and the width of epiphysis joints in the magnetic resonance image is evaluated to obtain osteo age data, and the osteo age data, in conjunction with an atlas of compiled osteo age data, are used to determine the osteo age of the candidate for growth disorder therapy. The relationship between the osteo age of the candidate and the chronological age of the candidate is used to determine whether growth disorder therapy is required. If growth disorder therapy is administered, such as by administering a hormone, the above procedure is repeated after a predetermined time, and the status of the therapy is again evaluated.

    摘要: A head antenna for nuclear magnetic resonance examinations has an examination chamber, formed so as to accept the head, and an antenna conductor, formed as a frame antenna, that surrounds the examination chamber in an examination position. The antenna conductor is divided into two curved sub-conductors that respectively have electrical contacts at their ends for detachably electrically connecting the sub-contractors together. The first sub-conductor arrangement is fastened to a holding part which is arranged outside the examination chamber and which is made of an electrically non-conductive, non-ferromagnetic material. For fastening the holding part to a patient support, a first fastening assembly is arranged on the holding part. For fixing the position of the head, a second fastening assembly is arranged on the holding part.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for providing reports of medical procedures includes a biometric data recorder to record and transmit biometric data of a patient, the biometric data being transmitted with a medical report of the medical procedure. The medical report and biometric data are transmitted as an encrypted transmission to an information center for storage. The medical reports of steps in the medical procedure for a patient are linked using the biometric data even if performed by different medical service providers. Medical reports of plural patients undergoing the procedure are stored, linked according to patient using the patient biometric data. Reports generated from the linked data anonymously report a given patient's status following the procedure. Statistical reports are generated on plural patients undergoing the procedure, and competing procedures are compared using the statistical reports.
