Releasable fastening means (5) secure the cover (3) to the base (2) such that, when released, the cover (3) may be removed to afford access to the base (2) from above. An end wall (4, 12) of the houselengages one side of the base (2). A panel (12) of the end wall is removable and exchangeable with other panels of different configurations, to suit different animals and/or occasions. Modular inserts (11) fit into the base (2) and are exchangeable with other inserts of different configurations, to suit different animals and/or occasions.

    摘要: An implantable passive or active electronic network component or component network is provided which is suitable for prolonged direct body fluid exposure and is attachable to a conductive surface, circuit trace, lead or electrode. The electronic network component or component network includes (1) a non-conductive body of biocompatible and non-migratable material, (2) a conductive termination surface of biocompatible and non-migratable material, associated with the body, and (3) a connection material of biocompatible and non-migratable material, for conductively coupling the termination surface to the conductive surface, circuit trace, lead or electrode. The electronic network component may include a capacitor, a resistor, an inductor, a diode, a transistor, an electronic switch, a MEMs device, or a microchip. A biocompatible and non-migratable adhesive is utilized to conductively couple components of the individual components of the electronic network, such as the conductive surface, circuit trace, lead or electrode.

The backlight controller is configured to activate the backlight to simultaneously emit the first and second colors of light to generate a first image component including a combination of first color image data and second color image data, and to separately emit the third color of light at a different time than the first and second colors of light to generate a second image component including third color image data. The LCD device is configured to display the first and second image components to provide a single image frame. Related devices and methods of operation are also discussed.

    摘要: An EMI filter capacitor assembly and implantable passive electronic network components utilize biocompatible and non-migratable materials to adapt the electronic components for direct body fluid exposure. The assembly includes a capacitor having first and second sets of electrode plates which are constructed of non-migratable biocompatible material. A conductive hermetic terminal of non-migratable and biocompatible material adjacent to the capacitor is conductively coupled to the second set of electrode plates. One or more conductive terminal pins having at least an outer surface of non-migratable and biocompatible material are conductively coupled to the first set of electrode plates, while extending through the hermetic terminal in non-conductive relation. The terminal pins may be in direct contact with the first set of electrode plates, or in contact with a termination surface of conductive connection material. The termination surface is also constructed of non-migratable and biocompatible materials.

    摘要: SSL lamps or luminaires are disclosed that combine blue, yellow (or green) and red photons or emissions to generate light with the desired characteristics. In different embodiments according to the present invention, the blue emission is not provided by an LED chip or package having a blue LED coated with a yellow phosphor, with blue light leaking through the yellow phosphor. Instead, the blue light component can be provided by other types of LED chips in the SSL luminaire such as one having a blue LED covered by a different colored conversion material, with blue light from the blue LED leaking through the different colored conversion material. In one embodiment, the blue component can be provided by an LED chip comprising a blue emitting LED covered by a conversion material that absorbs blue light and re-emits red light, with a portion of the blue light from the LED leaking through the red conversion material.

    摘要: A hybrid capacitor includes a body of dielectric material having spaced-apart first and second surfaces. A first electrode is associated with the first surface. A second electrode is associated with the second surface. One or more third electrodes are transversely disposed within the dielectric body between the first and second electrodes. Either the first or second electrode is not conductively coupled to any electrode transversely extending into the body. The resulting arrangement provides a hybrid capacitor having characteristics of both a tubular capacitor and a discoidal capacitor.
