    摘要: An output characteristic of a monotonic system is controlled using a plurality of adjustable inputs. The adjustments are controlled using a set of setpoints and a set of dither magnitudes. Each input's adjustment is controlled simultaneously using a setpoint and a dither around the setpoint. The dither values for each input have a zero mean and there is zero correlation between the dithers applied to different inputs. The changes in the output characteristic that result from the dithers are measured, and are used to create an adjustment value. The adjustment value is used to create a set of adjusted dither magnitudes. The set of adjusted dither magnitudes are added to a set of integrated prior adjusted dither magnitudes to create a set of setpoint adjustments. Adding the setpoint adjustments to corresponding setpoints creates a set of updated setpoints. This process is repeated so that the setpoints converge on a value that maximizes the output characteristic being controlled.

    摘要: Embodiments of methods and systems for controlling a load generated by a power generating system may include controlling at least a portion of the system using model-based control techniques. The model-based control techniques may include a dynamic matrix controller (DMC) that receives a load demand and a process variable as inputs and generates a control signal based on the inputs and a stored model. The model may be configured based on parametric testing, and may be modifiable. Other inputs may also be used to determine the control signal. In an embodiment, a turbine is controlled by a first DMC and a boiler is controlled by a second DMC, and the control signals generated by the first and the second DMCs are used in conjunction to control the generated load. Techniques to move the power generating system from Proportional-Integral-Derivative based control to model-based control are also disclosed.

    摘要: An electric motor system includes a brushless direct-current motor, a driver circuit, a position sensor, and a control circuit. The motor has an output shaft for transmitting torque. The driver circuit supplies power to the motor according to a control signal input thereto. The position sensor measures an angular, rotational position of the motor shaft. The control circuit controls operation of the motor. The control circuit includes a position sensor terminal, a reference terminal, a differential calculator, a controller, and a gain adjuster. The position sensor terminal receives a feedback signal. The reference terminal receives a reference signal. The differential calculator generates an error signal representing a difference between the measured and targeted rotational positions. The controller generates the control signal based on the error signal through a combination of control actions. The gain adjuster is connected to the controller to adjust a gain of each control action.

The cloud may be configured to extract still frames from compressed video received from the robot at a frame rate determined based on a number of factors, including the robot's surrounding environment, the available bandwidth, or actions being performed. The cloud may be configured to request that a compressed video with higher frame rate be sent so that the cloud can extract still frames at a higher frame rate. Further, the cloud may be configured to request that a second compressed video from a second perspective be sent to provide additional environment information.

    摘要: The invention relates to a switching device for the manual drive of an electromotive actuator for the control of fittings. In order to connect the manual drive by means of few components, whilst ensuring a simple design, the operative connection between the drive motor and the power take-off being maintained during manual drive, a drive shaft stub of the axially fixed drive shaft is equipped with a radial coupling pin. The handwheel shaft is mounted axially displaceably and in alignment with the drive shaft. That end of the handwheel shaft which is located opposite the handwheel is equipped with a coupling sleeve displaceable axially counter to the force of a compression spring. That end of the coupling sleeve which faces the drive shaft has a groove, the entrance of which is widened on both sides by means of run-on slopes. The manual drive has means for operating an electric switch which is arranged in the circuit of the drive motor and which is closed in the state of rest of the manual drive and is open when the handwheel shaft is engaged.
