    Abstract: A switching power supply includes an insulated transformer, a full-bridge circuit which converts input DC power into AC power and outputs the AC power to a primary-side coil, an output circuit which converts AC power input from secondary-side coils into DC power and outputs the DC power, and a control circuit which controls the full-bridge circuit by using a phase shift method based on voltage output by the output circuit. When a measured value of the amount of phase shift determined from at least one of the voltage and current output by the output circuit is smaller than a theoretical value of the amount of phase shift corresponding to the switching power supply operating in a continuous current mode, the control circuit prolongs dead time used in the full-bridge circuit in accordance with the difference between the measured value and the theoretical value.

    Abstract: A battery pack includes a first frame, a second frame, and assembled batteries. The first frame includes a top edge and a bottom edge. The top edge includes an inner projecting piece, an outer projecting piece distanced from the inner projecting piece, an outer depressed part, and an inner depressed part. The bottom edge includes a center projecting piece that is disposed in a position corresponding to a gap between the inner projecting piece and the outer projecting piece when the bottom edge is engaged with the top edge of another first frame and that has a thickness fitting this gap, and an outer engagement projection and an inner engagement projection provided in positions corresponding to the outer depressed part and the inner depressed part.

    Abstract: A protection element attachment tab made of a single flat metal plate and mounted on positive and negative electrode terminals of a cylindrical cell to connect between the positive electrode terminal formed on one end surface of the cell and the negative electrode terminal formed on another end surface of the cell with a protection element that prevents overdischarge between the electrode terminals. The protection element attachment tab includes a planar region facing the end surface when mounted on the electrode terminal; a first protrusion protruding from the planar region in a direction along the planar region, a leading end of the first protrusion protruding outward from the end surface of the cell when the planar region is mounted on the electrode terminal; and a second protrusion shorter than the first protrusion, protruding from the planar region in a direction different from the first protrusion along the planar region.

    Abstract: A sealing member 40 to seal an opening of a battery can, the sealing member being used to configure a tube-shaped battery provided with a bottomed tube-shaped battery can and a power generating element that has been arranged inside the battery can, the sealing member 40 includes an electrode terminal that is to be electrically connected to the power generating element, a sealing plate 41, insulating gaskets 42a, 42b, and a washer 44. An inserting part 43b extending from the electrode terminal 43 is inserted through these elements so that the elements are integrally tightened. The insulating gasket 42a is provided with a protruding part 42a1 having an appropriate horizontal section shape, and the sealing plate 41 adjacent to the insulating gasket is provided with a recess part 41a that has been formed in a shape corresponding to the protruding part 42a1.

    Abstract: A power supply device includes a battery module in which batteries are connected in series; a negative electrode output terminal to which a negative electrode terminal of the battery module is connected; a positive electrode output terminal to which a positive electrode terminal of the battery module and a connection point between predetermined batteries are individually connected through discharging switches; an output voltage detecting circuit for detecting an output voltage; a charging current adjusting circuit for adjusting the charging current of the battery module; thermistors for detecting the state-of-charge of the battery module; and a control device for controlling the charge and discharge of the battery module, wherein the control device includes means for controlling the discharging switches, so that the output voltage is within a specific range, and means for controlling the charging current adjusting circuit on the basis of the state-of-charge of each battery of the battery module.

    Abstract: A laminate-type power storage element has a flat body and an interior layered flat plate-shaped electrode body. A positive electrode terminal plate is mounted to a positive electrode of the electrode body and is guided outside from a predetermined margin of the body. A negative electrode terminal plate is mounted to a negative electrode of the electrode body and guided in the same direction. A film member spans across both electrode terminal plates. The film member is made by layering an insulating heat-resistant film and an adhesive to thermocompression bond the heat-resistant film to a matter to be adhered to. The film member is thermocompression bonded to the electrode terminal plate at a region facing principal surfaces of the positive and the negative plates, and is thermocompression bondable to the matter to be adhered to in a region that does not face the respective principal surfaces.
