摘要: An anti-eclipse circuit of an image pixel includes a clamping circuit for pulling up a voltage of a reset signal output by the pixel and an eclipse detection circuit for controllably coupling the clamping circuit output to the output of the pixel. The clamping circuit includes a source follower transistor and a switching transistor. The eclipse detection circuit includes a comparator that is operated to detect an eclipse condition. The eclipse detection circuit outputs a control signal to cause the switching transistor to conduct only when a eclipse condition is detected while the pixel is outputting a reset signal.

摘要: System for logging diagnostic information, for use in a transactional environment having means for sending a transactional and re-sendable request to an application program. A counter is associated with the request, wherein a value associated with the counter is updated when an error occurs in the environment. The environment also comprises a counter threshold. The system comprises a comparator, responsive to sending the request, for comparing the value associated with the counter against the counter threshold; a tracing control component, responsive to the value associated with the counter meeting the counter threshold, for enabling a tracing program; and a logging component, responsive to re-sending the request, for logging diagnostic information generated by the tracing program.

摘要: A receiver (1100) includes a direct digital frequency synthesizer (130), a mixer (105), and a clock source (1110, 1130). The direct digital frequency synthesizer has an input terminal for receiving a first clock signal at a first frequency, and an output terminal for providing a digital local oscillator signal synchronously with the first clock signal. The mixer (105) has a first input terminal for receiving a radio frequency (RF) signal, a second input terminal coupled to the output terminal of the direct digital frequency synthesizer (130), and an output terminal for providing an IF signal having a spectrum centered about a selectable one of a plurality of center frequencies. The clock source (1110, 1130) has an output terminal for providing the first clock signal without using any harmonic frequency that overlaps the spectrum for any of the plurality of center frequencies.

摘要: Votes are cast using an electronic voting machine that is configured to transmit the votes cast in electronic form and to memorialize the votes in a persistent and tangible form (such as a printed paper ballot, for example) that is both machine and human readable. To ensure that the voter has the ability to verify that his or her completed ballot accurately reflects his or her voting choices, the present voting machine is configured to securely present the printed ballot for the voter's visual inspection prior to finalizing the voting process. The present electronic voting machine is preferably configured with a read-after-write functionality, wherein one or more scanners read what the voting machine's print head prints, during or immediately after the printing process. The present voting systems and methods are configured such that the voting procedures for absentee and non-absentee voters are parallel and identical, except that the voting card is carried by the absentee voter and not limited to the local polling place.

摘要: A sensor device includes the ability to determine part presence and at least one physical characteristic of the part. A drive coil and sense coil are arranged so that a voltage applied across the drive coil causes a response in the sense coil, which is influenced by the presence of the item of interest. In a first mode, a controller determines whether the item is present by determining an amount of coupling between the drive coil and the sense coil, which is indicative of whether a part is present near the sense coil. In a second mode, the controller determines an amount of magnetic flux that is indicative of a thickness of the material. In another mode, constant current applied to the drive coil instigates a voltage across both coils. The amplitude of the sense coil voltage and a phase shift of the sense coil voltage relative to the drive coil voltage provides material thickness information.
