Abstract:
A stator of a motor includes a yoke; a plurality of teeth located along a circumference of the yoke, each of the teeth including a neck, the necks being staggered with respect to a line extending along a circumferential direction of the yoke; and coils wound around the necks.
Abstract:
A pressure cavity is durable, stable, and biocompatible and configured in such a way that it constitutes pico to nanoliter-scale volume. The pressure cavity is hermetically sealed from the exterior environment while maintaining the ability to communicate with other devices. Micromachined, hermetically-sealed sensors are configured to receive power and return information through direct electrical contact with external electronics. The pressure cavity and sensor components disposed therein are hermetically sealed from the ambient in order to reduce drift and instability within the sensor. The sensor is designed for harsh and biological environments, e.g. intracorporeal implantation and in vivo use. Additionally, novel manufacturing methods are employed to construct the sensors.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a shadow mask for cathode ray tubes. When the width of a smaller hole part of each of slots formed at the shadow mask is defined as Sw, the horizontal distance between the end of a taper-shaped larger hole part facing the panel side of each of the slots, which is adjacent to the edge part of the shadow mask, and the end of the smaller hole part, which is adjacent to the edge part of the shadow mask, is defined as Ta, and the incident angle at which the electron beam passes through each of the slots is defined as θ, the shadow mask has at least one slot through which the electron beam passes at an incident angle θ of above 47 degrees, and the at least one slot through which the electron beam passes at an incident angle θ of above 47 degrees is configured such that the following inequality is satisfied: 1
Abstract:
A rotor of an outer rotor type motor is coupled to an outside of a stator, and is provided with a shaft coupler, for being connected with a shaft of a drum, fixed at its center portion by an injected material, and a plurality of radiation holes formed therein continuously in a radial direction. The rotor includes at least one cooling fin provided with a base member fixed to a bottom surface of the rotor and a curved member attached to the base member, wherein the cooling fin is combined with the bottom surface so as to be disposed adjacent to the radiation hole. Therefore, a contact area with air can be increased, an air circulation through the radiation holes can be facilitated. Accordingly, the efficiency of a washing machine can be prevented from being deteriorated despite its long period operation, and any damage, which may be caused to other parts due to the overheating, can also be prevented.
Abstract:
Methods for activating Toll-like receptor 4 via cholesterol-dependent cytolysins isolated from a Gram-positive bacteria are provided. In addition compositions containing an isolated cholesterol-dependent cytolysin or a fragment thereof or a mimetic of the cytolysin or fragment thereof and methods for use of such composition in inhibiting binding and/or interaction of Toll-like receptor 4 with endotoxin are provided. Methods for identifying modulators of Toll-like receptor 4 activation by a cholesterol-dependent cytolysin and use of such modulators in treatment of septicemia and/or septic shock are also provided.
Abstract:
A motor rotor includes a rotator provided with a plurality of heat radiating holes for passing air therethrough, and a plurality of blades for moving air during a rotation of the rotator, each of the blades being detachable from the rotator. Further, each of the blades is bent and has a fixing portion for fixing each of the blades at the rotator and a free portion for guiding air into its corresponding heat radiating hole, the fixing portion and the free portion having a constant angle therebetween.
Abstract:
A single-phase induction motor comprises a power consumption prevention device, which includes a current signal transfer element and a switching element. The switching element is turned on/off according to the current signal received from the current signal transfer element. The power consumption prevention device prevents current flow to a start device when the motor runs in normal mode, and thus avoids unnecessary power consumption by the start device when the motor runs in normal mode, thereby preventing a reduction in the efficiency of the single-phase induction motor due to the unnecessary power consumption.
Abstract:
An abdominal aortic aneurysm endoprosthesis having a reduced profile for percutaneous delivery of the endoprosthesis. The endoprosthesis provides a cranial section supported by a stent, and a bifurcated caudal section having at least two legs each of which are supported by individual stents. The individual stents of each leg of the caudal section are staggered so as not to line up with one another. Altering the lengths of the legs permits nesting of the endoprosthesis. Optimizing the expansion ratio and radial strength of the endoprosthesis is achieved by altering the dimensions of the starting material from which the stent segments are fabricated, by altering the final austentite temperature of the starting materials, or by changing the structural configuration of the stent segments. A graft material is attached to at least a portion of the cranial section and to all of the caudal section of the endoprosthesis.
Abstract:
This invention relates generally to expandable intraluminal medical devices for use within a body passageway or duct, and more particularly to an optimized stent having asymmetrical strut and loop members. In one embodiment of the invention the stent includes one or more members each having at least one component. The component has non-uniform cross-sections to achieve near-uniform stress distribution along the component when the component undergoes deformation.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an ion implantation apparatus for use in manufacturing of a semiconductor device, which has a software program including an option for selecting a manipulator, enabling a time for beam tuning to be minimized. The ion implantation apparatus further includes a manipulator for extracting and focusing an ion source and an ion beam, a control block for controlling overall operation of the ion implantation apparatus and recognizing a newly installed manipulator, and a control window on which a selection menu is displayed, allowing recipe data to be selected on a screen. When installing a replacement manipulator, recipe data for the replacement manipulator can be selected to improve beam tuning set up time.
