摘要: When data are memorized in a 2-7 RLL code on a disc shaped memorizing medium using a sector format, as an address mark in each sector a 2-7 illegal pattern is used; a 1-byte data "8B" in an NRZ signal is converted into a 2-7 RLL code, and further it is modified into the 2-7 illegal pattern.A disc controller in a disc memory inserts the 1-byte data "8B" into a specified position in an NRZ signal and transmits it to an encoder/decoder. In the encoder, the 1-byte data "8B" in an NRZ signal is detected, and a 2-7 illegal pattern is formed by reversing a specified bit of a 2-7 RLL code formed by converting the 1-byte data "8B", and the illegal pattern is sent to the read/write amplifier.

摘要: A method and apparatus for powder sewing two plies of cloth or fabric material by spraying an adhesive powder onto one side of one ply of cloth or fabric from a powder spray gun having a corona discharge electrode mounted thereon. A second pin electrode is provided on the opposite side of the one ply of cloth or fabric. Electrical charges of differing polarity are applied to the electrodes while the cloth or fabric material is moved between the two and powder is sprayed thereon. In the course of migrating through the electrostatic field created between the two electrodes, the powder is caused to follow the force lines created within that field and to migrate onto one side of fabric in the form of a long, narrow band of powder. A second ply of cloth or fabric is then positioned over the first ply and over the band of powder. Pressure and heat applied to the powder activates the powder and causes it to become tacky so that when subsequently cooled, it adheres the two plies together along the narrow powder band.

摘要: An apparatus for forming tapered threads on a pipe such as a gas pipe comprises a base table on which a chuck device for holding a pipe is mounted in an opposing relation to a casing also mounted on the base table. A rotary disc is mounted on one side of the casing to be rotatable and a plurality of, at least three, die supporting plates are pivoted on one side of a rotary member integrally formed to the rotary disc. A plurality of rolling dies detachably attached to the disc supporting plates, respectively, and the rolling dies are rotated through a power transmission mechanism operatively connected to a drive source. To the respective die supporting plates are fitted a operational wheel to be movable axially with respect to the rotary members, the operational wheel being provided with a circumferential groove formed on the outer periphery thereof, to which a slidable ring is fitted, and a manipulative wheel is pivoted by a pair of pins positioned in the diametrical direction to the slidable ring, the manipulative wheel shifted by 90.degree. with respect to the pins being pivoted to the casing.

摘要: For use in a motor vehicle having a windshield, a control system comprises a raindrop sensor which emits a beam of radiation into a section of the windshield from the inner surface thereof at such an angle of incidence that the beam reflects off the outer surface and detects the reflected beam to convert it into a first signal. The first signal is compared with a reference value to generate a second signal. A motor control circuit is responsive to the second signal for closing a window of the vehicle.
