    摘要: A driving apparatus is used for simultaneously tensioning the jackbolts of a multi-jackbolt tensioner and includes a central drive gear mounted for rotation along a central drive gear axis. An annular array of spindles surrounds the central drive gear, each spindle independently mounted for rotation, with one spindle associated with one of the jackbolts. A socket on one spindle end is configured to receive one of the jackbolts. A spindle gear surrounds each spindle and is configured to rotate the spindle. The spindle gear is meshed with the central drive gear to be rotated by the central drive gear, wherein at least one spindle gear is offset along the central drive gear axis from at least another spindle gear. A slip clutch is positioned radially between each spindle gear and the associated spindle, wherein rotation of the jackbolts is up to a torque setting of the slip clutch during tensioning.

    摘要: A tensioning device for a thread end portion of a bolt has a cylindrical housing and a piston, moveable in longitudinal direction therein and connectable to a hydraulic supply. An interchangeable sleeve extends centrally through the piston. At its end it has an internal thread with engagement length to be screwed onto the thread end portion. The sleeve has a radially expanded portion carried axially by a carrier face of the piston. In order to prevent the sleeve from prematurely contacting the threaded bolt when mounting the bolt tensioning cylinder and prevent damage to the threads, the sleeve is moveable longitudinally relative to the piston. The longitudinal sleeve travel is defined by the carrier face as first longitudinal stop and by a second longitudinal stop. The longitudinal sleeve travel is at least equal to, preferably greater, than the engagement length of the internal thread of the sleeve.

The bearing retaining nut arrangement includes a first load-setting nut, a lock washer, and a second jam nut that secures the arrangement to a shaft.

The first end of the axle may comprise a nut locking mechanism, for example, the nut locking mechanism may include a counter bore having a plurality of internal projections, such as, gear or spline teeth.

Medium (50) can be a curable viscous paste, a suspended solid in a self-setting compound or a particulate solid which behaves as a fluid. Suitable materials include graphite, and lead, copper or steel balls.
