Demodulated I and Q components are processed by a carrier recovery network which adjusts the parameters of a locally generated carrier reference signal so as to maintain a desired orientation of the QAM constellation. The carrier recovery network includes a time multiplexed processor, including a signal multiplier, exhibiting plural operating modes in a digital phase locked loop exhibiting a loop delay of one symbol period.

    摘要: A precoded N-level HDTV digital video signal characterized by a sampling rate fs substantially equal to 3/2 the NTSC color subcarrier frequency is modulated for transmission on a carrier signal having a frequency substantially mid-way between the picture carrier and color subcarrier of an NTSC co-channel. The received signal is detected by a synchronous detector in response to a regenerated carrier signal and interfering NTSC beat components in the output of the detector are attenuated by a comb filter having a notch at fs/3. The output of the comb filter comprises an M-level signal, where M is greater than N, which is converted to an N-level signal corresponding to the demodulated video signal.

    摘要: A television signal receiving apparatus receives a new standard television broadcasting signal in an environment in which conventional standard television broadcasting signals are present. A first tuner coupled to a first antenna extracts a first television signal which contains a new standard television signal and a conventional standard television signal of the specific channel at a first ratio, and a second tuner coupled to a second antenna extracts a second television signal which contains the new standard television signal and the conventional standard television signal of the specific channel at a second ratio. In an operation unit, a multiplier multiples the second television signal by a predetermined coefficient, and a subtracter subtracts an output signal of the multiplier from the first television signal. An output signal of the subtracter becomes the new standard television signal when the coefficient has a specific value.

    摘要: A method for receiving a high definition television signal has been used by the band-splitting and sub-sampling method. The concrete embodiment for the method can be accomplished by converting the received radio frequency signal into a first intermediate frequency signal, and by splitting a second intermediate frequency signal and a narrow band intermediate frequency signal therefrom. The narrow band intermediate frequency signal is lacked a given fixed frequency to demodulate the second intermediate frequency signal in a quadrature phase-shift technique. The demodulated signal is low-pass filtered and converted into a digital signal to separate into a synchronizing, an audio signal, a control signal therefrom. The digital signal is processed at high frequency band according to the control signal, and delayed a given time. The delayed signal is added to the signal processed at high frequency band. The added signal is separated into a luminance and chrominance signals to convert into an analog signals.
