    摘要: A semiconductor device includes an insulating substrate and a TFT element disposed on the substrate. The TFT element includes a gate electrode, a gate insulating film, a semiconductor layer, and a source electrode and a drain electrode arranged in that order on the insulating substrate. The semiconductor layer includes an active layer composed of polycrystalline semiconductor and a contact layer segment interposed between the active layer and the source electrode and another contact layer segment interposed between the active layer and the drain electrode. The source and drain electrodes each have a first face facing the opposite face of the active layer from the interface with the gate insulating layer and a second face facing an etched side face of the active layer. Each contact layer segment is disposed between the active layer and each of the first and second faces of the source or drain electrode.

The drive circuit has a plurality of processing circuits connected to each other in series by a processing result transmitting line, and display data lines are formed to intersect with the processing result transmitting line for supplying the display data to the processing circuits. The processing circuits are arranged in correspondence with crossing points of the display data lines and the processing result transmitting line.

    摘要: It is intended to provide a carbonated beverage excelling in function as thirst-quenching beverage and taste through strengthening or sustaining of carbonated feel peculiar to carbonated beverage (brisk intense stimulation and sensation at pass through the throat, brought about by carbon dioxide gas, and sensation of coolness (refreshing sensation) produced by a combination of carbon dioxide gas and flavor) which after opening, rapidly drops depending upon a combination of employed raw materials, such as fruit juice, sweetener, color additives and flavoring, and upon evaporation of carbon dioxide gas. The drop of carbonated feel brought about depending upon a combination of raw materials, such as fruit juice and sweetener, can be relieved by adding to a carbonated beverage an additive for carbonated beverage comprising spilanthol or a spilanthol-containing plant extract or plant essential oil as an active ingredient. Further, the addition would help inhibit drop of carbonated feel brought about depending upon evaporation of carbon dioxide gas after opening and would help retain the taste and function as function as thirst-quenching beverage inherently to be had by carbonated beverage even after opening.

    摘要: There is disclosed a transflective liquid crystal display device having reflective portions having an improved contrast ratio. At each subpixel of the display device, a pixel electrode is shared between transmissive and reflective portions. Independent counter electrodes are used respectively for the transmissive and reflective portions. Different potentials are applied to the counter electrodes for the transmissive and reflective portions. The transmissive portion operates in normally black mode. That is, the transmissive portion displays black when no voltage is applied. The reflective portion operates in normally white mode. That is, the reflective portion displays white when no voltage is applied. The liquid crystal layer in the reflective portion is thicker than the liquid crystal layer in the transmissive portion.

    摘要: The present invention provides a display device that has a driving circuit including a single channel bidirectional shift register with which the circuit scale can be reduced without increasing the number of elements. The driving circuit includes a single channel bidirectional shift register. This single channel bidirectional shift register has an RS flip-flop circuit. The RS flip-flop circuit includes a first transistor having a first electrode connected to an output terminal and having a second electrode to which a second scanning direction control signal is applied and a second transistor having a first electrode connected to an output terminal and having a second electrode to which a first scanning direction control signal is applied. In this circuit configuration, a resetting signal is applied to a control electrode of the first transistor in a first scanning direction, a setting signal is applied to the control electrode of the first transistor in a second scanning direction which is a direction opposite to the first scanning direction. The setting signal is also applied to a control electrode of the second transistor in the first scanning direction, and the resetting signal is also applied to the control electrode of the second transistor in the second scanning direction.
