    摘要: A hybrid intra-inter bi-predictive (or multi-predictive) coding mode allows both intraframe (intra) and interframe (inter) predictions to be combined together for hybrid-encoding a current macroblock or a subblock Bi-prediction may be used also in I-pictures, combining two intra predictions that use two different intra prediction directions. A video encoder processes data representing a two-dimensional video image which has been produced by a conventional commercially available video camera. The video encoder is adapted to select, for coding a current macroblock, between an intra encoding mode, an P-frame inter encoding mode, a B-frame bi-predictive inter mode, and a hybrid intra-inter bi-predictive encoding mode. A video decoder (800) receives and decodes a data stream that may contain a block/macroblock encoded in accordance with the hybrid intra-inter bi-predictive encoding mode.

    摘要: A method and system reduces the spatial resolution of a compressed bitstream of a sequence of frames of a video signal by first decoding the frames, and storing the decoded frames in a first frame buffer. While performing the decoding, motion compensating is performed with full resolution motion vectors of the stored decoded frames. The decoded frames are then down-sampled to a reduced resolution, and stored in a second frame buffer. The reduced resolution frames are partially encoded to produce a reduced resolution compressed bitstream of the video. While performing the partial encoding, motion compensation is performed with reduced resolution motion vectors of the stored reduced resolution frames.

    摘要: The semi-fragile watermark comprises a fragile watermark component and a robust watermark component. Features are extracted from the video stream and subsequent hashing and encryption processes are performed to generate the fragile watermark. The fragile watermark includes control data information at the block level as well as frame and group level information. The fragile watermark is added on top of the robust watermark, giving the system the ability to detect alteration at the block level as well as the group level. The resulting semi-fragile watermark has the advantage of being both sensitive to malicious attack while being robust enough to survive bit rate reduction and other types of manipulation typically performed on digital multimedia signals.

    摘要: Implementations may relate to various aspects of modifying, or using, a coded bitstream, or to recovering watermarking information from data. In one implementation, a coded bitstream is modified to allow for the application of a watermark to the coded bitstream without changing the coding of any other syntax elements in the bitstream. This is performed by identifying conditions necessary to change a coded syntax element without disrupting the interpretation of subsequent coded elements. The coded syntax element is replaced with another coded value if the modified value generates the same decoding variables as the original value would have generated. Particular implementations focus on syntax elements coded using entropy coding, including, for example, Context-based Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding (CABAC). Regardless of the type of coding or watermarking, various implementations may provide for recovering watermarking information. Particular implementations recover watermarking information using detection data and feature information.
