A method of tracking growth and metastasis of specific cells in vivo is disclosed. The method of the disclosure includes culturing the specific cells in a medium containing 0.1 μM to 10 mM nanoparticles as a biomarker for X-rays, such that the specific cells carry the nanoparticles, administering the specific cells carrying the nanoparticles to a subject, irradiating the subject by an X-ray source, and determining the growth and metastasis of the specific cells by X-ray images of the nanoparticles in the subject.

Disclosed is a method for fabricating a nanoscale probe. A first conductor and a second conductor are immersed into an electrolyte contained in an electrolytic tank. The first conductor and the second conductor are connected to a power source respectively. An electrolytic reaction is established when an electrical circuit is established between the first conductor and the second conductor. The second conductor is configured to output electrons. The first conductor is configured to receive electrons. Therefore, the first conductor is etched when the electrical circuit is established between the first conductor and the second conductor. A necking portion is created at the first conductor approximately near the surface of the electrolyte. A nanoscale probe is fabricated when first conductor breaks at the necking portion.

A novel system and methods for accelerating analytes including, without limitation, molecular ions, biomolecules, polymers, nano- and microparticles, is provided. The invention can be useful for increasing detection sensitivity in applications such as mass spectrometry, performing collision-induced dissociation molecular structure analysis, and probing surfaces and samples using accelerated analyte.

Under the design of the real-time screen recording system of this invention, the Event Inspector records updated regions of the screen when a windows update event is generated, the Periodical Extractor records the screen updates periodically. This mechanism ensures that all updates will be recorded. The Event Filter inspects the update events to identify events relating to updates of screen to ensure correct recording of the updated regions. The Sporadic Controller adjusts the working frequency of the Periodical Extractor, so that the Periodical Extractor operates in an efficient manner. The Update Region Filter filters out unnecessary updated regions to avoid heavy workload of the computer system. As a result, an efficient and correct screen recording system may be achieved.
