摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a linear actuator in which reliability is improved, and performance is also easily improved. The present invention provides a linear actuator including a stator, a movable element having an iron member, and being reciprocatable with respect to the stator, a permanent magnet fixed to the stator so as to be opposed to the iron member, and a coil fixed to the stator. Because both the coil and the permanent magnet are fixed to the stator, electrical current does not have to be supplied to the movable element, and the feeder lines connected to the coil will not be broken due to the movement of the movable element. In addition, the weight of the movable element will not be increased even when the weigh of the permanent magnet is increased in order to obtain high magnetic flux density for improvement in performance. Moreover, because the movable element does not include a magnet, a magnetizing operation does not have to be applied to the movable element. The permanent magnets may be a pair in which the directions the magnetic poles thereof differ from each other, and two pairs of permanent magnets may be provided. The number of magnetic fluxes that run through the magnetic pole elements and the iron member can be increased by providing a magnetic reluctance section around the permanent magnets.

摘要: A prism 11 is formed which has a first face 11a opposing an end face of an optical fiber 21 and receiving a light-to-be-received from the optical fiber, second and third faces 11b and 11c adjoining opposite ends of the first face 11a at right angles and opposing each other, a fourth face 11d for reflecting the light-to-be-received from the face 11a toward the face 11b, and a fifth face 11e reflecting a light-to-be-transmitted as projected from a light source through the face 11c toward the face 11a. First and second light-to-be-received converging lenses 12 and 13 are disposed on the faces 11a and 11b of the prism 11 and first and second light-to-be-transmitted converging lenses 14 and 15 are disposed on the faces 11a and 11c. The tilt angles β1 and β2 of the faces 11d and 11e with respect to the optical fiber axis 21a are less than 45°. With this configuration, if the light-to-be-received enters the light-receiving element 22 and the light-emitting element 23 and is reflected by these elements, such reflected light is prevented from returning back into the optical fiber whereby occurrence of far-end crosstalk can be suppressed.

摘要: An optical connector socket includes: a body having an insertion section in which a socket-side optical element is arranged and into which an optical connector plug is inserted; a cover, covered on the body, having an opening communicated with the insertion section; a shutter, openably/closably attached to the cover, for closing the opening; and a herical spring for elastically urging the shutter in a constant-closing direction. The opening is larger than an outside dimension of the optical connector plug inserted into the cover and smaller than that of the shutter. Therefore, there is no light leakage and dust intrusion, the socket can be attached to a device or a wall so as to direct an opening toward a front face without a cap, and an inspection in a state where the socket is assembled in an electronic device can be performed without attaching/detaching the cap to/from the socket.

摘要: Provided is a polishing pad comprising a fiber including organic fiber and a matrix resin holding the fiber, wherein at least the organic fiber is exposed on the work material-side surface thereof at least after dressing. The polishing pad suppresses generation of minute polishing scratches on the work material and allows flat polishing at low load. It in also possible to manage the polishing end point of the work material without generation of polishing scratch with its optical detection system monitoring the polishing state of work material. Thus, for example, it is possible to polish substrates under a small load on the interlayer insulating film and give products superior in flatness in semiconductor device manufacturing processes and thus, the polishing pad according to the invention may be used easily in the next-generation dual damascene method.

摘要: A line laying structure for a wrist of a robot capable of enhancing durability of lines of cables/pipes for flowing electricity, air, water, etc. to an end effector attached to the wrist, and reducing a restriction of angle of rotation of a wrist axis by rotation of the other wrist axes. First, second and third wrist elements of the wrist are rotatable around fist, second and third axes, respectively. The first wrist element is fixed to a distal end of a forearm of the robot, to be rotated on a mounting base with the forearm as a unit. The lines are clamped on the mounting base by a line retainer and laid inside the forearm and clamped at a distal end of the forearm inside and outside thereof by line retainers. The lines are then clamped by line retainers provided on the second wrist element and introduced to the third wrist element. Then, the lines are clamped by the line retainer provided on the third wrist element and drawn outside thereof to be connected with the end effector. Only limited sections S1–S3 of the lines between the line retainers are subjected to bending, twisting and translation by the rotation of the wrist elements and the other sections of the lines are not influence by the rotation of the wrist elements, to enhance durability of the lines.

摘要: To enable soldering with high efficiency, high temperature and short time or reflow soldering without using baking or moisture-proof packaging. An optical device which is placed at a side of distal end of plug inserted into a body is mounted on a surface of printed wiring board, and connected via the printed wiring board to a main substrate to which an optical connector is mounted. The printed wiring board is formed of the same material as a transparent resin package of the optical device. The printed wiring board is inserted into the body from the upper surface side opposite to the surface to which the optical connector is mounted, and fixed thereto. Alternatively, the printed wiring board is inserted into the body from the rear surface side opposite to the side at which the plug is inserted, and fixed thereto.
