Abstract:
Disclosed are a BBU and a method of obtaining RRU information, which comprises, in a heterogeneous cell environment in which a macro cell and small cell coexist, a BBU receiving, from a terminal and via a serving RRU of the terminal connected to the BBU, a measurement reporting message that includes information on an RRU transmitting, to the terminal, a reference signal at an intensity equal to or stronger than a threshold value, and determining the RRU as a neighboring RRU of the serving RRU by using information included in the measurement reporting message.
Abstract:
A method is provided for supporting state mode transition by an entity of a cellular network in case that a plurality of networks interwork. When a value of interference caused by a neighbor entity of a wireless local area network (WLAN) is equal to or larger than a predefined threshold value, a first message instructing another entity of the WLAN to perform a mode transition from an active mode to an idle mode is transmitted to another entity of the WLAN. In response, a second message including information indicating whether status of the mode transition of the another entity of the WLAN is successful is received from the another entity of the WLAN. When the information indicates that the status of the mode transition of the another entity of the WLAN is successful, status information of the another entity of the WLAN is updated based on the second message.
Abstract:
This method whereby a mobility management entity (MME) in a first communication system updates base station information in a converged network supporting multiple communication systems comprises the steps of: receiving a first message including changed information from a base station in a second communication system if information from and related to the base station in the second communication system has changed or if information related to a base station in the first communication system has changed; and updating with the changed information on the basis of the first message.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for updating information on a cellular system in a wireless communication system is provided. An access point (AP) transmits a request for information on a cellular system and an update configuration for the information on the cellular system to a multi-radio access technology (RAT) device supporting a plurality of RATs, receives a first response to the request, which includes the information on the cellular system, from the multi-RAT device, and receives a second response, which is an update of the first response, according to the update configuration from the multi-RAT device.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for acquiring information on an access point (AP) in a wireless communication system is provided. An AP information management entity of a cellular system transmits a request for information on an AP, which is located within coverage of an eNodeB (eNB), to an AP server which is located outside of the cellular system, and receives a response, which includes a result code of the request, from the AP server. The AP information management entity is one of an eNB, mobility management entity (MME), or a new entity of the cellular system.
Abstract:
An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method in which a base station transmits a signal in a wireless communication system, comprising: a step of generating a reception acknowledgement response to the uplink data received from a terminal; and a step of mapping the reception acknowledgement response to a downlink time-frequency resource and transmitting the mapped result. The downlink time-frequency resource is located on a resource region excluding the control region indicated by a physical control format indicator channel, and associated with the index of the resource block with which the uplink data is transmitted.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting/receiving data in a wireless access system, and a base station (BS) and a user equipment (UE) for the same are disclosed. The method for performing synchronization with a neighbor base station (BS) of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless access system includes, if a user equipment (UE) based on a macro BS is located at a boundary of the neighbor BS, measuring a synchronization channel of the neighbor BS, wherein a subframe of the neighbor BS includes an additional secondary synchronization signal (SSS) so as to perform synchronization with the neighbor BS.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving uplink control information (UCI) in a radio access system supporting an enhanced physical downlink control channel (e-PDCCH) is disclosed. The method includes transmitting downlink control information (DCI) including offset information for determining resources for transmitting a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) via the e-PDCCH, and receiving the UCI using uplink resources according to a resource index value for transmitting the PUCCH. The resource index value is calculated using an index value of a control channel element (CCE) comprising the e-PDCCH and the offset information.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to radio communications between a terminal, a radio node and a core network in a radio communication system. A radio node, which can form a radio link to a terminal through a first radio interface by a first radio protocol and a second radio interface by a second radio protocol, may transmit, to the terminal, function structure type information about a mobility management-related function which can be performed through the first radio interface by the first radio protocol, form a radio link to the terminal through the second radio interface by the second radio protocol, establish a connection between the terminal and a core network by a non-access stratum (NAS) protocol if the terminal requests a connection between the terminal and the core network through the second radio interface, release the radio link, and perform the mobility management-related function through the second radio interface by communicating with the terminal.
Abstract:
A method and a user equipment (UE) for network attachment are disclosed. The method includes receiving first status information associated with one or more remote radio units (RRUs) for supporting the small cell from the one or more RRUs, receiving second status information associated with one or more macro cells from one or more macro eNBs for supporting the macro cell, selecting an RRU and macro eNB, which the UE wants to attach, among the one or RRUs based on the first status information and the second status information, and simultaneously transmitting an attach request message for requesting network attachment from the selected RRU and macro eNB to the selected RRU and macro eNB.
