Abstract:
A method of transmitting and receiving data using superposition modulation in a wireless communication system having multiple antennas is disclosed. More specifically, the method comprises encoding the at least one inputted data stream by a channel coding scheme, puncturing the at least one inputted coded data stream into at least two sub-streams, layer-modulating the at least two sub-streams using layer-modulation schemes, transmitting the layered-modulated sub-streams via the multiple antennas, wherein transmission power of each antenna is based channel condition, and receiving by at least one user the layered-modulated sub-stream, wherein the each user uses different demodulation scheme.
Abstract:
There is provided methods relating to enhancing migration of a neural precursor cell by augmenting levels of TMEM18 protein in the neural precursor cell. Such methods may be used in the treatment of disorders, including treatment of a glioma or a neurodegenerative disorder.
Abstract:
A method of providing delay information in a multi-antenna transmission system is provided. A time delay value is selected from a set of time delay values. A mobile station is informed of information related to the selected time delay value. The same data is transmitted from a first antenna and from a second antenna. The data is transmitted from the second antenna after the data is transmitted from the first antenna according to the selected time delay value. The time delay value is selected based on a deterministic method or a random method.
Abstract:
There is provided a novel hybrid promoter region that utilizes a neural specific promoter and an enhancer element, in one embodiment from a viral promoter, located upstream or downstream of the neural-specific promoter. The novel promoter can be used to create a viral vector, including a baculovirus vector, useful for gene delivery to neural cells.
Abstract:
A method of controlling at least one transistor of a DC voltage converter to regulate an output voltage of the DC converter, the method including determining whether the output voltage of the DC converter is within a first or second voltage range, the second voltage range including a desired value of the output voltage; if the output voltage is in the first voltage range, generating a control signal using a first control method performed by a first controller, the first controller receiving the output voltage and determining the control signal based on the value of the output voltage in the first voltage range; and if the output voltage is in the second range, generating a control signal using a second control method performed by a second controller, the second controller receiving the output voltage and determining the control signal based on the value of the output voltage in the second voltage range.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting information for a Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service (MBMS) capable of receiving a specific MBMS service without any difficulty in a when a terminal subscribed to the specific MBMS service moves from an to the, in which when the terminal moves from the to the, the terminal or the transmits to the state information of a terminal-related MBMS service which the is providing, and the provides the MBMS service to the terminal by setting a dedicated channel with the terminal.
Abstract:
Methods, compositions and articles of manufacture for assaying a sample for a target polynucleotide are provided. A sample suspected of containing the target polynucleotide is contacted with a polycationic multichromophore and a sensor polynucleotide complementary to the target polynucleotide. The sensor polynucleotide comprises a signaling chromophore to receive energy from the excited multichromophore and increase emission in the presence of the target polynucleotide. The methods can be used in multiplex form. Kits comprising reagents for performing such methods are also provided.
Abstract:
A method of configuring a sub-slot having a layer-modulated multi-user packet (MUP) is disclosed. More specifically, the method comprises modulating symbols associated with a first layer by using non-layered modulation scheme, and modulating symbols associated with a second layer and a third layer using a different layered-modulation scheme. Here, the symbols associated with the second layer and the third layer are multiplexed by any one of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, a code division multiplexing, a multi-carrier code division multiplexing, or a time division multiplexing.
Abstract:
A method of allocating symbols in a wireless communication system is disclosed. More specifically, the method includes receiving at least one data stream from at least one user, grouping the at least one data streams into at least one group, wherein each group is comprised of at least one data stream, preceding each group of data streams in multiple stages, and allocating the precoded symbols.
Abstract:
A method of configuring a data packet including an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) preamble in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes configuring the data packet to include the OFDM preamble in a first region, a pilot and medium access control (MAC) in a second region, and a data symbol in a third region.
