Abstract:
An electric operator for a sliding door mounted for sliding movement along a track, comprising a motor having an iron cooling flywheel disposed on a drive shaft thereof, the flywheel being provided for imparting a predetermined amount of inertia for starting and stopping of the motor such that the operation of the motor is characterized by a soft start and stop. A worm gear reducer is connected to the drive shaft for effecting a predetermined reduction ratio of rotation. A limit switch is coupled to the reducer for limiting rotation of the drive shaft to a predetermined number of rotations, and apparatus is provided for coupling rotation of the drive shaft to the linear movement of the sliding door along the track.
Abstract:
A combination LCD screen and keyboard cover of a lap top computer is hinged to a main or keyboard body. The combination cover is used as either an LCD screen when opened or a keyboard cover when closed. The LCD screen is fixed to the inner face of the combination cover. The combination cover has a tilt adjusting apparatus for adjusting the screen viewing angle of the LCD screen. The tilt-adjusting apparatus comprises a pair of bracings which extends from one side of the combination cover and is hinged to a housing by hinge shafts. A pair of racks are longitudinally fixed to the rear wall of the housing and a mating pair of pinions are fixedly mounted on pinion shafts. Driving gears are fixedly mounted on the hinge shafts for rotating the pinions in the same direction through idle gears and transmission gears. Friction bands are wound around one cylindrical end of the hinge shafts in order to hold the tilt combination cover in place.
Abstract:
A door operator for an overhead garage door having a reversible electric motor and a gear train driving the door. Limit stops are provided, one for the "up" limit and another for the "down" limit. Each of the limit stops is independently zero setable to cut off current to the motor at a pre-selected position.
Abstract:
A drive mechanism for full-automatic opening and closing of a sliding door comprises two drive mechanisms for supplying different moving speeds to the door. A main motor for the higher speed drives a worm-gear spindle, a low-power motor for the lower speed drives a profiled bar. A gear wheel moving on the worm-gear spindle and a pinion slideably mounted on the profiled bar mesh with each other and are contained in a sliding carriage guiding the sliding door via a latch. The selective or common drive of both motors results in various combinations and enables an adaptation to the requirements for variable door speeds. The drive mechanism is of simple design, relatively cheap and does not require trained service personnel.
Abstract:
A furniture hinge for mounting a furniture door on a furniture body member includes a hinge bracket which is attached to either the door or body member and which includes a flat flange defining an elongated interior slot having spaced teeth forming a rack. A cooperating tooth wheel is nonrotatably attached to the other furniture member, either by means of a striking pin which is driven into a bore hole in the other member or by means of a housing which supports the tooth wheel and which is inserted into the other member, and the tooth wheel meshes with the rack teeth to cause the tooth wheel to run along the rack as the two furniture members are angularly displaced about a pivot axis defined by the axis of the tooth wheel. The crown diameter of the tooth wheel is substantially equal to the width of the bracket slot, and the tooth wheel also includes an outstanding shoulder which has a diameter greater than the width of the slot and which bears against flat surfaces of the bracket flange to inhibit axial movement of the tooth wheel relative to the flange and to guide its movement as it runs along the slot. Various arrangements are disclosed for mounting flush doors as well as superposed doors on a piece of furniture.
Abstract:
Hinged window drive systems and window assemblies incorporating them provide for a combination of powered or motorized operation in addition to manual operation using a hand crank, with the opportunity for a user to switch between motorized operation and manual operation as needed.
Abstract:
The invention is an an anchor for attaching an automated window mechanism to a sliding panel of a window. The sliding panel has a border with an outer face generally perpendicular to the window. The anchor includes a base configured to be secured to the outer face. The base and mechanism mount has a first tongue-and-groove component protruding from the base away from the outer face. The anchor also includes a mechanism mount configured to be secured to the automated window mechanism, the mechanism mount having a second tongue-and-groove component protruding therefrom. The first tongue-and-groove component and the second tongue-and-groove components are shaped and aligned to permit the mechanism mount to slide relative to the base in a direction generally perpendicular to the window, and to thereafter hold the mechanism in proper alignment relative to the sliding panel of the window.
Abstract:
An actuation device for moving a charging port socket cover of a charging port socket from a closed position to an access position, where the charging port socket is received or receivable on a body component of a vehicle, includes a movable actuation structure associated with the charging port socket cover and configured such that movement of a charging gun into contact with the actuation structure and toward the charging port causes the actuation structure to shift the charging port socket cover from the closed position toward the access position.
