Abstract:
A method, a device and computer program products for protecting privacy of users from web-trackersThe method comprising: capturing and removing a public unique identifier set by a Website (300) in a computing device (100D) of a user (100); monitoring, during a first time-period, web-requests the user (100) makes to obtain a web-behavioral profile of the user (300), and storing the obtained web-behavioral profile as a first vector; tracking, during a second time-period, the web-requests to examine the effect each web-request has on assisting the de-anonymization of the user (100), obtaining a second vector; classifying, the obtained second vector taking into account a computed similarity score parameter; creating and mapping, a corresponding private unique identifier for said captured public identifier; and executing, based on said mapping between the private and the public unique identifiers, an intervention algorithm for said web-tracker, that considers a configured intervention policy.
Abstract:
Method to perform joint scheduling in the downlink or in the uplink of a centralized OFDM radio access network for a plurality of users considering time, frequency and space domains, scheduler device thereof and computer program products. The method to be applied in the downlink or in the uplink of a centralized radio access network based on OFDM, whereby a set of remote radio heads of a set of remote units are connected to a central unit, that performs all (or part of) the radio-related processing tasks, wherein the scheduling exploit CoMP, NOMA and RF conditions and resource blanking techniques.
Abstract:
A Method for increasing coverage and robustness against frequency offsets in wireless networks, user device and computer program productsIn the method, a user device (171) that wirelessly communicates with a base station (172) through a wireless network employing a Single Carrier-Frequency Division Multiple Access, SC-FDMA, comprises: applying a number of calculated repetitions of a block of complex information symbols prior to a SC-FDMA modulator (176), said number of repetitions being an integer submultiple of a number of subcarriers scheduled for uplink transmission according to the expression: NscUL=L×M with L and M integers; and applying, when mapping to scheduled resources in the SC-FDMA modulator (176), a frequency shift equal to a subcarrier width multiplied by one half of said number of repetitions.
Abstract:
The method includes: performing a packet scheduling for a plurality of user terminals (UEs) based on information regarding QoS classes, the information regarding QoS classes is included in QoS class identifiers received from an Evolved Packet Core providing communication services to the user terminals. The method further includes receiving channel quality indicators from the plurality of user terminals and performing the scheduling also on the basis of the received channel quality indicators. The system of the invention is arranged to implement the method of the invention.
Abstract:
The system comprises a plurality of radio access nodes, or cells, each of said cells providing a coverage area to a plurality of user equipments, characterized in that each of said radio access nodes is splitted into: a common processing section (1) which performs a main processing stage; and a plurality of remote transceiving sections (2a, 2b, 2c), each performing a local processing stage complementing said main processing stage, being operatively connected to said common processing section, and constituting a sub-cell providing a coverage sub-area, wherein said coverage area is distributed into said coverage sub-areas. The method is arranged for carrying out said splitting of radio access nodes.
Abstract:
A method to optimize almost blank subframe usage in a wireless network including generating, an interfering base station, in order to minimize interference caused to a serving base station, an almost blank subframe pattern and sending the latter to the serving base station. The serving base station generating a set of preferred almost blank subframes, from said received almost blank subframe pattern, that their knows will be of use for providing a wireless connectivity to a user terminal, and sending the preferred almost blank subframes ordered by a priority of usage to said interfering base station. And the interfering base station, using, in the case of requiring the use of additional subframes for serving its own user terminals, the almost blank subframes indicated as low priority in said received set of preferred almost blank subframes from the serving base station.
Abstract:
A method, system and devices for optimizing the discontinuous reception by a mobile terminal of signals transmitted from its serving base extension so battery and other user equipment resources can be saved by using an extended DRX period several orders of magnitude longer with respect to what is achievable in the current standard, without the terminal losing synchronization.
Abstract:
The method comprises mapping software-based network functions to hardware resources included in a hardware resource pool, wherein the mapping is performed dynamically on unallocated resources of the hardware resource pool and based on at least the next information: specific hardware constraints for the supporting of each of said software-based network functions; network requirements of at least one defined networking service design for a service making use of said hardware resource pool and of at least part of said software-based network functions; and a hardware description of the hardware resources included in the hardware resource pool. The system is configured for implementing the method of the invention. The computer program product is adapted to perform the method of the invention.
Abstract:
The method comprising a first user having a plurality of computing devices connected to a local network performing the following steps: searching, a content collection system, for multimedia content items in said plurality of computing devices; gathering, by said content collection system, said multimedia content items found for a specific domain and generating a list with said gathered multimedia content items; identifying, a content identification system, each one of said multimedia content items included in said list; and creating a profile generator system a user profile of said first user by analyzing all of said identified items in said multimedia content and further using said created first user profile for providing multimedia content recommendation to said first user, and possibly to additional users related to said first user through a recommendation engine.
