Abstract:
A chip stack package includes a substrate, a plurality of chips, a plurality of adhesive layers and a plug. The substrate has a wiring pattern and a seed layer formed on the wiring pattern. Each of the chips has an electrode pad and a first through-hole that penetrates the electrode pad. The chips are stacked such that the first through-holes are aligned on the seed layer of the substrate. The adhesive layers are interposed between the substrate and one of the chips, as well as between the chips. Each of the adhesive layers has a second through-hole connected to the first through-hole. The plug fills up the first through-holes and the second through-holes and electrically connects the electrode pads to the wiring pattern of the substrate. A cross-sectional area of the plug in the second through-holes may be larger than that of the plug in the first through-holes.
Abstract:
A transaction splitting apparatus and method are provided in which neighboring sub-transactions accessing a predetermined bank in each memory may access different banks. The transaction splitting apparatus includes a first processing unit to split a transaction into at least one sub-transaction, the transaction accessing a first bank among a plurality of banks comprised in a memory, and a second processing unit to translate an address of the at least one sub-transaction, to interleave the at least one sub-transaction using the plurality of banks.
Abstract:
Disclosed are an interworking system between IP networks using different IP address format, an application layer gateway (ALG) server, a network address translator, an interworking method, and a SIP message routing method. The interworking system between a local network using a private IP and a public network using a public IP includes a STUN server and an application layer gateway (ALG) server. The STUN server provides binding information of header information of a public IP binding request. The application layer gateway (ALG) server performs a public IP binding request with header information changed by IP masquerading, and performs routing by applying the received binding information to media receiving address information of a SIP message.
Abstract:
Provided is an apparatus and method for generating vibrations in a wireless terminal, in which vibrations of strengths corresponding to respective regions are generated by using a plurality of piezos. The apparatus includes a plurality of piezos, a touch screen portion including a plurality of regions, and a controller for, upon detection of a touch on a predetermined region among the plurality of regions of the touch screen portion, generating vibrations of strengths according to power frequencies and power polarities of the plurality of piezos with respect to the touched region.
Abstract:
There are provided a method for reducing a packet ordering time of layer 3 handover and a mobile satellite terminal using the same. The method for reducing a packet ordering time of layer 3 handover of a mobile router in a home agent of a satellite network connected with the mobile router includes: transmitting a first packet and a second packet to the mobile router through a satellite link of the mobile router; transmitting a sequence control packet to the mobile router through the satellite link; and transmitting a third packet to the mobile router via a wireless link of the mobile router. The sequence control packet provides a reference time for rapidly reordering the second and third packets which reach the mobile router in a reverse sequence.
Abstract:
Provided is mobile satellite communication method and apparatus. The satellite communication method includes detecting a location of a terminal, determining a signal transmission scheme for the terminal using the terminal location, determining a subcarrier region to transmit a signal to the terminal using the location of the terminal, and communicating with the terminal using the determined signal transmission scheme and the determined subcarrier region.
Abstract:
Provided is an image interpolation method and apparatus using a reference block depending on a direction. The image interpolation method may generate a horizontal reference block and a vertical reference block each with respect to an inputted image, and determine interpolation directivity with respect to the inputted image using the generated horizontal reference block and vertical reference block, thereby performing an interpolation on an image based on accurate interpolation directivity. In particular, the image interpolation method may determine whether to verify interpolation directivity depending on an edge intensity of an inputted image, thereby performing a color filter array (CFA) interpolation on an image based on an edge direction without determining the interpolation directivity, when the edge intensity is strong.
Abstract:
There are provided an apparatus and method for traffic performance improvement and traffic security in an interactive satellite communication system. The method for traffic performance improvement of an interactive satellite communication system includes the steps of: a) storing an Internet protocol (IP) packet that is received from a user terminal connected to a satellite mobile terminal of the interactive satellite communication system and is to be transmitted to a central station through a satellite; b) transmitting acknowledgement for the stored IP packet to the user terminal by acting for the central station, before the stored IP packet is transmitted to the central station; and c) transmitting the stored IP packet through the satellite to the central station, and retransmitting an unacknowledged IP packet according to a retransmission request of the central station.
Abstract:
Provided is a receiving apparatus for detecting an interior position using digital broadcasting signals includes: a receiving unit receiving a digital broadcasting signal, which includes navigation information used for determining a position of the receiving apparatus, transmitted from a digital broadcasting signal transmitting apparatus; and an output unit outputting a signal to outside the receiving apparatus via wireless communication, wherein the receiving unit receives the digital broadcasting signals from a plurality of the digital broadcasting signal transmitting apparatuses.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an antenna system mounted on a mobile vehicle. In the present invention, a power distributor and a part of a high-frequency module that includes a frequency converter are placed in an external fixed unit that is placed outside a radome. In addition, an active cooler/cooling fin, a heater, and an air circulation fan are placed at an internal bottom plane of the antenna system, and a cooling fin and cooling fan are placed at an external bottom plane of the antenna system.
