Abstract:
A shaft such as a worm drive shaft for a movable barrier operator is disclosed. The shaft includes at least two shaft segments having connection ends. The shaft segments include respective connection ends permitting a first connection end to be joined with a second connection end by inserting a portion of at least one of the connection ends within the other connection end along the longitudinal axis of the shaft. The shaft segments may be retained by a resiliently expandable connector such as a snap ring. The connector may expand to permit the joining and then contract to be received within a surface recess on a connection end. The connector may be part of or pre-assembled on a connection end, such as by being positioned within a surface recess thereof. The connector may provide a pre-determined position for joining the first and second connection ends.
Abstract:
An apparatus for controlling movement of a first member relative to a second member in a piece of furniture includes a damper. When relative movement occurs between the first and second members, force is transmitted through a clutch drive mechanism to a movable member in the damper. A viscous damping medium in the damper resists movement of the movable member.
Abstract:
A carrier for connection of a window pane to a window lift of a motor vehicle comprises guiding claws spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of a guide rail of the window lift for guiding the carrier on the guide rail. The carrier includes a window pane holder for connecting the window pane with the carrier and an adjusting device for adjusting the position and/or orientation of the window pane with respect to the guide rail. To ensure an exact bearing of the window pane on an associated sealing contour on a motor vehicle body with simple constructive means, little mounting effort and few components, at least one guiding claw is adjustable in a direction vertical to the longitudinal extension of the guide rail or in longitudinal extension of the guide rail and vertical to the longitudinal extension of the guide rail.
Abstract:
A guide block for a window in a frameless vehicle door, the guide block, comprising: a main body portion having a collet received within a cavity of the main body portion; a spring disposed between the collet and an inner surface of the cavity; and a threaded screw received within the collet and the spring wherein the spring acts against the collet to allow the screw to threadingly engage the collet and the opens and allows the threaded screw to slide within the collet.
Abstract:
A hinge buffer device includes a casing, a slide, a buffer and an adjustment. The casing comprises a first end, a second end, a pair of lugs, a threaded hole, and a sliding trough. The lugs are disposed at two sides of the first end of the casing. The threaded hole is formed at the second end of the casing. The sliding trough is located between the first end and the second end of the casing. The slide comprises a compartment, a pair of sliding sections at respective sides to be engaged with the sliding trough of the casing. The buffer is a cylinder to be mounted in the compartment of the slide. The buffer comprises a piston rod secured to the slide. The adjustment is connected to the slide, and comprises a bolt to be engaged with the threaded hole of the casing.
Abstract:
The device includes a screw which turn allows adjusting the distance between the rail of a power window device and the inner portion of motor vehicle door and it is surrounded, at an end thereof, by a first adjusting through block formed integral to the door of the motor vehicle, and a second adjusting block for roughly adjusting or tightening the thread inwardly which is fixed to the power window device, the opposed end of said screw being threadingly received to the rail of the power window device. The device permits adjusting of the window pane in a very simple manner, with a highly reduced cost of production and with a considerably strong mechanism which, in turn, allows a fine adjustment of the lateral distance of the assembly of the power window device.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus providing an adjustable hinge configured for a fence post and gate assembly of a fence. The adjustable hinge includes a first bracket operable to be secured to a first portion of the fence and a second bracket operable to be secured to a second portion of the fence. The adjustable hinge also includes a vertical adjustment component, a horizontal adjustment component, a hinge barrel and a collar. The vertical adjustment component is operably coupled to the first bracket and the horizontal adjustment component is operably coupled to the second bracket. The hinge barrel is operable to be rotatably coupled to the vertical adjustment component and the horizontal adjustment component. The collar is operable to be rotatably coupled to the horizontal adjustment component and is operably coupled to the second bracket. With this arrangement, the hinge barrel is operable to be moveable along the vertical adjustment component to vertically adjust the second bracket with respect to the first bracket. Furthermore, the collar is operable to be moveable along the horizontal adjustment component to horizontally adjust the second bracket with respect to the first bracket.
Abstract:
A spindle or worm drive for adjusting devices, especially seat adjustment devices, window lifters and sliding roofs, in motor vehicles. The drive includes a fixed spindle or relatively fixed toothed rack which is secured to the second of the two parts. The gear elements are mounted in a housing which includes at least two plates that can be secured to each other by plug-in connectors. The connectors are also configured as supporting joints that absorb the forces of the gear.
Abstract:
A door closer includes a closer casing, a pivot unit, and a length-variable damping cylinder. The pivot unit includes a pivot axle, a cam member, and a cam follower member. The pivot axle has a drive end portion that extends into and that is retained rotatably in the closer casing, and a coupling end portion that extends out of the closer casing. The cam member is mounted co-rotatably on the drive end portion of the pivot axle. The cam follower member is disposed in the closer casing, and is acted upon by the cam member. The damping cylinder is disposed in the closer casing, and has one end coupled to the cam follower member and an opposite end anchored to the closer casing.
