    Abstract: An integrated wavelength-selective filter device comprises a first optical element, for directing received radiation into a direction defined by a first angle, and a second optical element being a diffractive element configured for diffracting the directed radiation under a second angle. The second angle is such that for a single reference wavelength the diffracted radiation is directed into a propagation medium for advancing therein towards a predetermined position on the first optical element or on a further optical element for filtering radiation having a wavelength substantially matching the reference wavelength from radiation having a substantially different wavelength. The propagation medium is formed from a material that is different from any material of the substrate of the first and the second optical element.

    Abstract: The invention pertains to a computer-implemented method for compensating motion for a digital holographic video stream, the method comprising: obtaining (1010) a sequence of frames representing consecutive holographic images of a scenery; obtaining (1020) translation and rotation vectors describing a relative motion of at least one object in said scenery between a pair of frames from among said sequence of frames; and applying (1030) an affine canonical transform to a first frame of said pair of frames so as to obtain a predicted frame, said affine canonical transform representing said translation and rotation vectors. The invention also pertains to a computer program product and to an apparatus for compensating motion for a digital holographic video stream.

    Abstract: A method to be carried out by an interface element (IE, 510) between a VNF pool (508) and a control entity (520) is disclosed. The VNF pool (508) comprises a plurality of VNF instances (502) including at least a first and second instances. The control entity (520) is configured to control the VNF instances (502) of the pool (508). The method enables the IE (510) to assist in replicating a state of the first VNF instance on the second VNF instance. The method includes steps of obtaining a control message provided from the control entity (520) to the first VNF instance (502), providing the obtained control message at least to the first and to the second VNF instances (502), and providing an acknowledgement of the control message to the control entity (520) when the interface element (510) has an acknowledgement, either explicit or implicit, of both the control message provided to the first VNF instance (502) and the control message provided to the second VNF instance (502).

    Abstract: An optical gyroscope and a method for measuring an angular velocity of rotation are described. A closed-path optical cavity is configured for receiving at least a first optical signal circulating as at least one cavity mode of pre-determined orientation (inside the optical cavity. An extractor in optical communication with the optical cavity is configured for extracting a fraction of at least the circulating first optical signal from the optical cavity, wherein an amplitude of the extracted fraction increases when a resonance condition for the optical cavity in optical communication with the extractor is approached. A readout channel included in the optical gyroscope comprises an interferometric device adapted to spectrally modify the extracted fraction so as to produce a spectral Vernier effect. A difference between free spectral ranges of the interferometric device and the optical cavity is larger than the associated spectral widths. Readout detectors are included in the readout channel for detecting optical power levels of the spectrally modified optical signal, based on which the angular velocity is determined.

    Abstract: A method of forming aligned gates for horizontal nanowires or nanosheets, comprising: providing a wafer which comprises at least one fin of sacrificial layers alternated with functional layers, and a dummy gate covering a section of the fin between a first end and a second end; at least partly removing the sacrificial layers at the first end and the second end thereby forming a void between the functional layers at the first and end such that the void is partly covered by the dummy gate; providing resist material which oxidizes upon EUV exposure; exposing the wafer to EUV light; selectively removing the dummy gate and the unexposed resist; forming a gate between the functional layers and between the exposed resist at the first end and at the second end.
