Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for enabling a mesh network node to switch from a base station role to a user equipment role relative to a second mesh network node, and vice versa. By switching roles in this manner, the mesh network node may be able to benefit from increased uplink or downlink speed in the new role. This role reversal technique is particularly useful when using wireless protocols such as LTE that are asymmetric and allow differing throughput on uplink and downlink connections. Methods for determining whether to perform role reversal are disclosed, and methods for using role reversal in mesh networks comprising greater than two nodes are also disclosed.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer software are disclosed for providing a Service Bus for telecommunications infrastructure. The services bus provides a communications system between mutually interacting software applications, including a plurality of microservices, each microservice comprising: an internal bus; a data store in communication with the internal bus; a data access object in communication with the internal bus; a message exchange object in communication with the internal bus; a MAPReduce engine in communication with the internal bus; and a restful Application Programming Interface (API) bus in communication with the data access object, the message exchange object and the MAPReduce engine. The Service Bus provides a messaging service, a synchronization service and a persistence service, and routes messages between services, monitors and controls routing of message exchange between servers, resolves contention between communicating service components, controls deployment and versioning of services, marshals use of redundant services, and provides commodity services.

Abstract: A wireless network system is described. In some scenarios MME/MSC/SGSN may act as a client which has huge amount of real-time data to be delivered towards server. For this speedy and reliable delivery requirement, a approach has been proposed which will use multiple parallel HTTP connections for delivery and also make sure that the events related to a particular node is delivered in right order. The multiple HTTP connections are used for parallel delivery so that in case one connections fails then it may not impact other existing connections. The number of connections may grow dynamically up to the configured limit depending on the data delivery requirements and then it may dynamically shrink once the load is reduced. A key based approach is proposed where each connected node will be assigned a unique key which will be used for sequencing the messages related to events of this particular node. In this way we can achieve in-order delivery of data which is dependent on each other along with parallel delivery of data which is independent of each other.

Abstract: In this invention, we disclose a multimedia streaming base station used preferably in a wireless communication network. The multimedia streaming base station is capable of capturing, storing, encoding, and transmitting multimedia via a local multimedia capture device. The multimedia base station can be a heterogeneous multi-RAT node, in which case the wireless communication network could be a heterogeneous mesh network. Abstract: A centrally controlled dynamic frequency selection (DFS) mechanism is defined that uses a historical analytical database to define DFS hop patterns, which allows for a better probability of picking a non-interfering channel but also meets the performance requirements of the mesh and satisfying the timing constraints of DFS. A method for performing dynamic frequency selection (DFS) is disclosed, comprising: receiving, at a gateway, measurement reports from a radio access node regarding observed utilization of a 5 GHz radio frequency band shared with a plurality of radio access nodes; determining, based on the received measurement reports, a frequency hop pattern at the gateway; and sending the frequency hop pattern from the gateway to each of the plurality of radio access nodes, thereby enabling compliance with DFS regulations using a centralized gateway.
