Abstract: Methods and systems of breaking pursuit of a target. One example embodiment includes an electronic processor configured to develop a first identifier for the target and determine a breaking junction and an intercept point associated with a cornering route. The processor is configured to determine a geographical area associated with at least one possible target flee route for the target and determine a second identifier for an object within the geographical area. The processor is configured to develop a discrimination factor representing a degree of differentiation of the first identifier from the second identifier. The processor is configured to predict whether the discrimination factor will exceed a threshold when the pursuit asset arrives at the breaking junction. The processor is configured to, in response to the discrimination factor exceeding the threshold, notify the pursuit asset to break pursuit of the target at the breaking junction to execute the cornering route.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for re-routing a call a when utilizing a collaborative mode of operation is provided herein. During operation, when a radio is operating in a collaborative mode, a battery level of the smart device will be monitored by the radio. If the associated smart device's battery is below a predefined threshold, the radio will be connected to a new talk-group via a standard narrowband network. As a consequence, each outgoing (or incoming) call from the radio over the new talkgroup on the narrowband network will be re-routed to the broadband network via the narrowband network (without utilizing the smart phone).

Abstract: An incident management system with graphical user interface mechanisms for control of the routing of incoming calls and other information regarding a plurality of ongoing incidents. Thumbnail icons, each corresponding to a different defined geographic area, are displayed and, in response to a user input selecting a thumbnail icon, a map is displayed identifying a defined geographic area corresponding to the selected thumbnail icon with a plurality of call icons and at least one incident icon. The call icons each correspond to a different active incoming call from within the defined geographic area and are each positioned on the map accordingly. At least one of the displayed call icons is assigned to an incident group and an incident icon is displayed for each ongoing incident managed by the system to which at least one displayed call icon has been assigned.

Abstract: A system for on-dispatch identification and assignment of unresolved tasks. The system includes an electronic processor configured to detect that a responder unit is dispatched to respond to a first incident and, in response, correlate extracted information corresponding to the first incident with information that is stored corresponding to a plurality of unresolved tasks and identify, based on the correlation and a responder unit profile associated with the dispatched responder unit, at least one unresolved task. The electronic processor is also configured to, in response to identifying the at least one unresolved task, either cause a notification to be provided at a dispatch computer, the notification identifying a recommendation to assign the at least one unresolved task to the dispatched responder unit or automatically assign the at least one unresolved task to the dispatched responder unit and notify a communication device associated with the dispatched responder unit regarding the assignment.

Abstract: A system for prioritizing and resolving inconsistencies in digital evidence. The system includes a database containing a first type of data and a second type of data related to an incident record and an electronic computing device including an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to receive the first and second types of data from the database, determine an inconsistency between the first and second types of data, and determine an incident type from the incident record. The electronic processor is also configured to determine whether a priority of the determined inconsistency meets a threshold case impact level. When the priority of the inconsistency meets the threshold case impact level, the electronic processor is configured to take a first notification action and when the priority of the inconsistency does not meet the threshold case impact level, the electronic processor is configured to take a second notification action.

Abstract: A method and system for completing a call between a first mobile device located at a first communication system and a second mobile device located at a second communication system is provided. A call initiation request including a request to complete a call with the second mobile device is received at a Radio Access Network (RAN) Adaptor (RA) from the first mobile device. The RA determines RAN-specific access parameters for the first mobile device and the second mobile device. The RA sends a call processing call initiation request including the RAN-specific access parameters and call initiation information for the first mobile device and the second mobile device to a cloud-based group call service. The RA establishes resources specific to the RAN in the RA. The resources include first resources at the first communication system and second resources at the second communication system. The call between the first mobile device and the second mobile device is completed using the first resources and the second resources.
