Abstract:
A developing treatment method of supplying a developing solution onto a substrate to develop a resist film on the substrate with a predetermined pattern exposed thereon: supplies pure water to a central portion of the substrate to form a puddle of the pure water, and then moves a nozzle in a radial direction passing through a center of the substrate while supplying a developing solution to the puddle of the pure water from the nozzle with a wetted surface of the nozzle in contact with the puddle of the pure water, to form a puddle of a diluted developing solution on the substrate; then rotates the substrate to diffuse the puddle of the diluted developing solution over an entire surface of the substrate; and then supplies a developing solution to the substrate to develop the substrate.
Abstract:
A method for coating a rollable device including a device rotator having a pair of rollers and spray nozzle is described. The spray nozzle produces a spray of coating material that is directed towards a gap that is between the rollers of the pair. The majority of any spray not deposited on the rollable device during a coating process passes through the gap between the rollers.
Abstract:
A method of lining container closures is provided. The method includes providing a liner machine base including a number of fluid dispensing apparatus fixed in a stationary position on the base, conveying a plurality of container closures to the fluid dispensing apparatus using a conveying assembly, manipulating each of the container closures with respect to a corresponding one of the fluid dispensing apparatus as the fluid dispensing apparatus remains stationary and dispenses a sealant, lining a plurality of the container closures with said sealant, and, discharging the container closures from the liner machine.

Abstract:
A systems and method for reducing coating defects on a stent may involve a support apparatus comprising wire cage for carrying a stent. The support apparatus may have no structure that extends inside the stent. A support apparatus may include a plurality of wires that pass through the stent but do not pass through the midplane of the stent. A support apparatus may contact only the proximal ends of the stent. The method may involve keeping the stent in motion during a spray coating process to prevent the stent from having a point remain in continuous contact with a support apparatus.
Abstract:
The invention is a device for holding elongated objects such as fishing rod parts in conjunction with surface treatment. The device includes one first inner part and one outer second part which are pivotally arranged relative to one another between a first position where the object can be inserted into the device and a second position where the object can be fixed temporarily to the device with at least three elastic bands. Each elastic band is connected to a fastening device on the first inner part and a fastening device on the outer second part. Each elastic band's distance from the device's center of rotation changes during the relative turning of the first inner part with respect to the second outer part, causing the object to be held or released from the device depending on the relative rotational orientation of the first inner part and the second outer part.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for supporting a tubular medical device, such as a stent or scaffold, includes a rod disposed between two collets. The rod can be shaped to form a range of different size or length helical supports to support a wide range of tubular medical devices. The rod is shaped into a full or partial helix by rotating one of the collets relative to the other.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a mobile cart for lining a section of water main pipe having an interior surface. The mobile cart comprising a wheeled platform with a mixer operatively connected to the wheeled platform; a discharge pump operatively connected to the wheeled platform; and a lance operatively connected to the wheeled platform.
Abstract:
Economical heavy concrete weight coating is used as a weight coating for submarine pipes. The developed economical heavy concrete weight includes steel slag and iron ore as aggregate. Steel slag can contain iron and thus have a higher density than some other types of slag. By supplementing the steel slag with iron ore as aggregate, the economical heavy concrete weight coating can have a higher density than a coating having just slag. Economical heavy concrete weight coating can have a density greater than 190 pcf.
Abstract:
A process for coating inside a container includes rotating the container about its imaginary vertical axis while simultaneously lowering airless spray nozzles along the vertical axis of the container into the cavity through the opening end and moving the nozzles back up and out of the container. Spray nozzles are used to apply a liquid coating at a spray pressure of about 100 to about 800 psi (6.89 to 55.16 bar) and at an angle of about 0 to about 120 degrees relative to the vertical axis, simultaneously with nozzle movement, to at least a portion of the inner surface while the container is rotating and the nozzles are moving along the vertical axis. The container is thereby coated on its inner surface to form an internally coated container.
