    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system. a user equipment (UE) may receive. from a base station, control signaling indicating a quasi co-location (QCL) configuration associated with multiple-input multiple output (MIMO) communications within a distance threshold from the base station. In some cases, the UE may receive. from the base station, an indication of a downlink transmission associated with the QCL configuration within the distance threshold. The UE may select a beam to receive the downlink transmission within the distance threshold based on the QCL configuration. In some cases. the UE may receive multiple repetitions of the downlink transmission using corresponding antenna combining weight configurations, and the UE may determine a beam weight configuration for the beam to receive the downlink transmission based on receiving the multiple repetitions of the downlink transmission.

    Abstract: Certain aspects provide techniques for precoder matrix quantization for compressed channel state information (CSI) feedback. A method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a CSI report configuration for frequency domain compressed precoder matrix feedback. The CSI report configuration configures the UE to report, for a plurality of selected beams at a plurality of time domain taps, a frequency domain compression basis vector and a plurality of linear combination coefficients associated with the frequency domain compression. For each of the beams, the UE groups the time domain taps into at least first and second groups. The groups each can have zero, one, or more than one time domain taps. The UE quantizes the corresponding linear combination coefficients and/or frequency domain compression basis vectors based on the grouping.

PMI and CQI FD units may be configured using a separate bitmaps, a bitmap and ratio of the FD unit sizes, or a single bitmap.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network entity may transmit a set of spatially multiplexed synchronization signals in a same symbol period. The set of spatially multiplexed synchronization signals may indicate a parameter, such as a cell identifier, for the network entity. The network entity may select a sequence for each synchronization signal of the set. A user equipment (UE) may monitor for the set of spatially multiplexed synchronization signals during the same symbol period. The UE may differentiate each synchronization signal based on a respective sequence used to transmit each synchronization signal. The UE may determine that the set of spatially multiplexed synchronization signals were transmitted by the network entity using multiple antenna ports.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may use a mapping to update channel state information (CSI) reporting granularity based on an antenna port configuration update. For example, the UE may store a mapping from different antenna port configurations to respective sub-band sizes for CSI reporting. In some examples, a network entity may configure the UE with the mapping. In some other examples, the UE may be pre-configured with the mapping. If the UE receives control signaling, such as downlink control information (DCI) signaling, indicating an antenna port configuration update at the network entity, the UE may use the mapping to determine a corresponding update to sub-band size granularity for CSI reporting. The UE may use the determined sub-band size for performing CSI measurements on reference signals and reporting the CSI measurements in a CSI report to the network entity.
