Abstract:
Photopolymerizable liquid oligomeric compositions are disclosed. The oligomeric compositions are formed from cycloaliphatic epoxides and Michael addition polyacrylate resins, synthesized from multifunctional acrylates and null-dicarbonyl Michael donors, specifically null-keto esters, null-diketones, null-ketoamides or null-ketoanilides or combinations thereof. The oligomeric compositions are provided along with uses thereof and methods of fabricating.
Abstract:
Oligomers from multifunctional acrylates and organonitro compounds are provided. Films obtained from crosslinked oligomers of the present invention are useful as protective or decorative coatings as well as components in adhesives and composites.
Abstract:
A lubricant additive formulation for increasing the performance of conventional engine lubricants for use as an engine treatment oil additive formulated for addition to conventional motor oil to improve the lubricating properties of the engine oil and enhance the performance of the engine. A preferred embodiment of the engine treatment oil additive comprises a blend of chemical constituents including a base stock selected from a synthetic base stock, a mineral oil base stock, and a severly hydrocracked base stock or combinations thereof, an oil soluble molybdenum additive, dispersant inhibitor, and selected additives such as polytetrafluoroethylene, viscosity index improvers, and extreme pressure wear agent used in combination with a conventional crankcase lubricant at about a 20 to about a 25% volume/percent or as a complete motor oil. Additional components may be added to the engine treatment oil additive formulation to enhance specific properties for special applications.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to laminates prepared using reactive hot melt adhesives. The reactive hot melt adhesives are the reaction product of a polyurethane prepolymer and a vinyl chloride based thermoplastic copolymer.
Abstract:
A cold-box process for preparing a foundry shape, e.g. mold or core, that uses a binder comprising a phenolic resin component and an isocyanate component, wherein the phenolic resin component comprises (a) an alkoxy-modified phenolic resole resin and (b) an oxygen-rich polar, organic solvent component, which contains a fatty acid ester.
Abstract:
Commercial grade ammonia is purified for use in production of semiconductors by initially passing the liquid ammonia through a liquid phase oil separation system. This removes the vast majority of the impurities. The filtered liquid ammonia is then passed through a vaporizer which quiescently forms ammonia vapor and prevents entrainment of impurities within the ammonia vapor. The vapor passes through a vapor filtration system and subsequently to a bubble column. The bubble column is designed so that the bubbles are small enough and travel at a rate which ensures that any entrapped particle within the bubble will have time to migrate to the surface of the bubble and thereby pass through the liquid phase. The collected vapor is directed through subsequent vapor filters and is collected. If anhydrous ammonia is desired, the ammonia vapor is collected upstream of the bubble column.
Abstract:
This invention is a compression molded part useful for transportation vehicles and in construction and a process for making compression molded parts. These light weight parts are molded at pressures less than 500 psi (3.5 MPa) and are made from a sheet molding composition or bulk molding composition which incorporates a thixotrope such as fumed silica.
