    Abstract: A fuel water separator comprises a housing that defines an internal volume that receives a mixture. The fuel water separator further comprises a filter element that is positioned within the internal volume. The filter element comprises a first endplate and a second endplate that is located opposite the first endplate. The filter element further comprises a filter media that is coupled to the first endplate and the second endplate. The filter media is structured to separate a dispersed phase from a continuous phase of the mixture. The filter element further comprises a collection sump that is located below the first and second endplate and structured to receive the dispersed phase. The filter element further comprises a retention barrier disposed above the collection sump. The retention barrier comprises a drain opening structured to discharge the dispersed phase through the retention barrier into the collection sump.

    Abstract: Various embodiments relate to a filtration system. The filtration system includes a housing having a drain. A filter element is positioned within the housing. The filter element comprises a first endplate and a second endplate. Filter media is positioned between the first endplate and second endplate. A dual lip seal member is coupled to the second endplate. The dual lip seal member includes a first protrusion that extends radially outward around an outer surface of the dual lip seal member. A second protrusion extends radially outward around the outer surface of the dual lip seal member. The dual lip seal member is configured to prevent fluid to be filtered from exiting the housing through the drain when the filter element is in an installed position. The dual lip seal member permits residual fluid to exit the housing through the drain when the filter element is displaced from the installed position.

    Abstract: An impactor separator comprises a housing having an inlet receiving a gas-liquid stream and an outlet expelling a gas stream. The impactor separator also includes an impaction surface positioned within the housing and configured to separate liquid particles from the gas-liquid stream and a nozzle assembly positioned within the housing. The nozzle assembly includes a nozzle assembly housing portion and a plurality of nozzles extending through the nozzle assembly housing portion. Each of the plurality of nozzles includes a nozzle inlet and a nozzle outlet. The gas-liquid stream enters into the nozzle assembly housing portion, flows into the plurality of nozzles through the nozzle inlet and exits the plurality of nozzles through the nozzle outlet. The plurality of nozzles accelerates the gas-liquid stream toward the impaction surface.
