Abstract:
A method and system for monitoring consecutive games of roulette played at a live roulette gaming table. The table includes a table layout, a roulette wheel and a chipper machine for sorting and counting betting chips. During each game, players bet on a spin of the roulette wheel by indicating bets on the table layout with the chips. Chip count data from the chipper machine along with game activity data from one or more gaming table monitoring systems is recorded and processed by a table computer to identify at least one game delineation event and associated timing information. The chip count data is analysed based on the timing information for game delineation event: and then portions of the chip count data are assigned to respective roulette games. The recorded data may be later analysed to determine a range of performance characteristics including optimisation characteristics, and/or immediately communicated to the table operators.
Abstract:
A web page is generated by applying a partial evaluation technique. In one embodiment, at design time, a page designer enables a dynamic version of a page specification program to be generated, such as by way of a page customization interface. This dynamic version can be executed during the design process, with page customization choices evaluated in a dynamic manner. The parts of the page specification that can be evaluated to static form at design time are identified, and the program is partially evaluated, with the identified parts transformed to static form. The remaining dynamic parts of the page specification program are executed at request time, resulting in a generation of the page to be provided for display over the network. In general, different parts of a page specification program may be selected for evaluation at different times, and there may be more than two phases of evaluation.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed generally to reduction or inactivation of gene function or gene expression in cells in vitro and in multicellular organisms. The invention encompasses methods for mutating cells using a combination of mutagens, particularly wherein at least one mutagen is an insertional mutagen, to achieve homozygous gene mutation or mutation of multiple genes required cumulatively to achieve a phenotype to create knock-outs, knock-downs, and other modifications in the same cell. The invention is also directed to cells (and libraries thereof) and organisms created by the methods of the invention, including those in which at least one of the genes created by insertional mutagenesis is tagged by means of the insertion sequences thereby allowing identification of the mutated gene(s). The invention is also directed to libraries of mutated cells and their uses. The invention is also directed to methods of identifying mutations with methods of the invention, in cells (and libraries thereof) and organisms, by means of the insertional tag.
Abstract:
A cleaning composition with a limited number of natural ingredients contains an anionic surfactant, a hydrophobic syndetic, and a hydrophilic syndetic. The cleaning composition can be used to clean laundry, soft surfaces, and hard surfaces and cleans as well or better than commercial compositions containing synthetically derived cleaning agents.

Abstract:
The present invention provides synthetic immunogenic lipopeptide molecules comprising co-linear T-helper and CTL epitopes, and methods for their production and use in the generation of primary and secondary immune responses, and for the vaccination of animal subjects against particular CTL epitopes. More particularly, the present invention provides highly soluble lipopeptides wherein the lipid moiety is attached to the terminal side-chain group of an internal lysine or lysine analog, preferably to the terminal side-chain group of an internal diamino acid residue. Preferably the internal lysine or lysine analog is positioned between the T-helper epitope and the CTL epitope.
Abstract:
A coaxial cable connector for terminating a prepared coaxial cable end includes a connector body having a center passageway. A compression sleeve attached to one end of the connector body is axially movable wherein movement of the sleeve causes the center conductor of an engaged coaxial cable end to be engaged by a plurality of spring contacts that are radially disposed in relation to a conductive member into which the center conductor is advanced. The center conductor is seized when advanced a predetermined distance into the conductive member.

Abstract:
A coaxial cable connector is provided, the connector comprising: a connector body; a physical parameter sensing circuit, positioned within the connector body; and a status output component, configured to report an ascertained physical parameter status to a location outside of the connector body. A corresponding method of ascertaining a physical parameter status of a connector connection is disclosed.
