Abstract:
A method of producing Ethyl (3R,5S,6E)-7-[2-cyclopropyl-4-(4-fluorophenyl)quinoline-3-yl]-3,5-dihydroxy-6-heptenoate by means of liquid chromatography using a packing material comprising a carrier and, carried thereon, a polysaccharide derivative, wherein a part or all of the hydrogen atoms of hydroxyl and amino groups of the polysaccharide derivative are substituted with one or more substituents, such as a carbamoyl group wherein one hydrogen atom is substituted with an aromatic group having a specific alkyl group. The method allows the production of the above (3R,5S,6E) isomer with enhanced productivity to a conventional method.
Abstract:
The objective of this invention is to provide a process for producing an optically active isomer of ethyl 7-[2-cyclopropyl-4-(4-fluorophenyl)quinolin-3-yl]-3,5-dihydroxy-6-heptenoate by optically resolving an optical isomer mixture of the compound at a high productivity. The process is characterized by employing a filler comprising a carrier and a specific amount of cellulose tris (4-chlorophenyl carbamate) supported the carrier and carrying out chromatographic separation under the condition that the capacity factors have specific values.
Abstract:
A method of resolving a mixture of stereoisomers of an aliphatic epoxide containing two or less oxygen atoms is provided. The method comprises utilizing a polysaccharide or a derivative thereof as a resolving agent.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an improvement in the process for preparing a calixarene derivative in which the rotation of its benzene units are hindered and which comprises replacing all or a part of the hydrogen atoms of the hydroxyl groups of a calixarene derivative represented by the general formula: ##STR1## and is characterized by conducting the reaction in the presence of an alkaline earth metal. According to the present invention, an asymmetric calixarene derivative having a "cone" conformation can be selectively prepared by virtue of the template effect of the metal.
Abstract:
An object of the invention is to provide a diagnostic method for an oil-filled electrical device that considers a temperature distribution in the oil-filled electrical device and enables accurate diagnosis to be conducted even when the method is applied to diagnosis of an actually operating device, and further provide a method with which such diagnosis of an oil-filled electrical device can be conducted from a component analysis value of an insulating oil in the oil-filled electrical device. The invention is a diagnostic method for an oil-filled electrical device including in an insulating oil a metal part wrapped with insulating paper, and determines that a time when a surface resistivity of a maximum precipitation site where metal sulfide is most precipitated on the insulating paper reaches a preset surface resistivity management value is a time of occurrence of an abnormality.
Abstract:
An optically active dihydroxyheptenoic acid ester having an aromatic group is separated from a solution containing a mixture of optical isomers of digydroxyheptenoic acid ester by liquid chromatography with a packing material constituted of a carrier and a polysaccharide derivative carried on the carrier. The polysaccharide derivative is a polysaccharide in which the hydrogen atoms constituting the hydroxyl and amino groups are partially or all replaced by one or more kinds of groups selected from among carbamoyl groups monosubstituted with aromatic groups having specific alkyl groups and benzoyl groups having specific alkyl groups. According to the invention, optically active dihydroxyheptenoic acid esters can be separated more distinctly.
