The invention relates to a construction machine, in particular a road finishing machine, which can be set to at least two different operating modes by the operator. With a control system, a determined position for a drive can be stored in a first operating mode to which the drive automatically moves during a change from a second operating mode back to the first operating mode. In case of a change of the operating mode from the second operating mode to the first operating mode, several drives can optionally also be simultaneously moved to the previously stored position.

A tamper of a screed having an eccentric shaft including an eccentric section and an eccentric bushing rotatably mounted in a connecting rod driving a tamper bar. The stroke of the tamper bar is adjustable by a relative rotation between the eccentric shaft and the eccentric bushing, and a tappet and a preselection area with two tappet stop positions defining two different tamper bar strokes are provided between the eccentric shaft and the eccentric bushing, enabling adjustment of the tappet to each tappet stop position, by reversing the direction of rotation of the eccentric shaft to switch between the two strokes.

A method for controlling the process laying a layer in a selectable paving thickness with a road finisher in which the laying process is automatically controlled in that a target value for the paving thickness is entered into an automatic closed-loop control system and communicates the actuating signals to such members and the signals. A road finisher has a computerized, either fully automatic or operator aided closed-loop control system for the direct control of the laying process with control of the paving thickness to a predetermined target value and for the optimization of the operating point of the pre-compaction system, which is connected to sensors at least for the acquisition of the setting angle of the screed, of the paving thickness and of the laying rate.

Method for laying down a pavement with a road paver, in which machine parameters are coordinated at least with paving requirements of the pavement by means of a controller and in which at least one machine parameter set is created and stored in advance for a paving requirement determined before the paving, the parameter set allowing a high level of machine efficiency and pavement quality to be expected and/or has already produced the same for an at least similar earlier paving requirement of an already laid down pavement, and the pavement on the basis of the parameter set created in advance. The road paver has a controller with an on-board computer connected to a sensor system and an actuating system, and includes memories and a retrieval and/or comparison section for triggering the actuating system for implementing the machine parameters of the parameter set created in advance.

A paving screed comprises a base screed and extension screeds each of which is support via an extension guiding structure at a guidance fixed in the base screed such that each extension screed can be extended and retracted. A multiple point suspension is provided between the extension guiding structure and the guidance. A frame carrying the sole plate of the extension screed A is arranged below the extension guiding structure. Substantially vertical adjustment assemblies make it possible to adjust the height position of the frame via drives. A lateral inclination adjustment assembly is provided structurally separated from the adjustment assemblies either for the frame or within the frame for the sole plate of the extension screed.

The present invention describes a road finisher for laying a paving material, comprising a material bunker for paving material and a spray jet module. In order to increase the spray carrying capacity in a structurally simple manner, it is suggested that a reservoir unit comprising a spray reservoir and a paving material reservoir should be arranged in the material bunker.
