After the image creating unit start creation of a three-dimensional ultrasound image in a late phase, when the operator presses a composition display button, the movement-distance calculating unit calculates a movement distance between a three-dimensional tissue image at the moment of the press of the composition display button and each of three-dimensional tissue images in the area to be displayed as superimposed, and an image correcting unit corrects each of three-dimensional contrast enhanced images corresponding the three-dimensional tissue images of the blood-vessel early phase by using the movement distance. An animated-image compositing unit creates a group of images for animation that the corrected three-dimensional contrast enhanced images of the blood-vessel early phase are each combined with a three-dimensional contrast enhanced image of the late phase, and a monitor displays the group of the images for animation in animation.

    摘要: The light intensity of a light beam emitted from a light source is appropriately controlled when the light beam is transmitted through a variable optical coupling efficiency device in an optical head. During a read mode, the light beam from the light source is incident on an optical disk at an intensity relatively weaker than that of the light source. By switching the optical coupling efficiency of the variable optical coupling efficiency device between a write mode and a read mode, the light intensity directed to an optical recording medium is substantially varied from the write mode to the read mode. This arrangement eliminates the need for substantially increasing the optical output power ratio of the light source of write power to read power.

When the rewritable disc is used in rewritable application, the position where writing of a predetermined data unit (for example, an ECC block) in data is started is set to a first position with respect to a reference position to record or play back the data. In contrast, when the rewritable disc is used in write-once application, the position where writing of the predetermined data unit in the data is started is set to a second position different from first position to record or play back the data. The position where writing of the data is started in the rewritable application is shifted from the position where writing of the data is started in the write-once application to disable rewriting of the data recorded on a rewritable recording medium when the rewritable recording medium for the write-once application is loaded in a recording-playback apparatus that does not assume the use of the rewritable recording medium in the write-once application.

The apparatus has storage device that stores plural correction values obtained by detecting fluctuations in amplitude of a tracking error signal with respect to a radial direction of the disc or a quantity of de-tracking with respect to the radial direction thereof. The apparatus has control device that reads the correction value from the storage device and, when the optical pickup is operating, corrects the tracking error signal to conduct servo control based on the corrected tracking error signal.
