    摘要: An Li/LiMn.sub.2 O.sub.4 secondary cell employing a SWING system (i.e., of the "rocking chair cell" type) includes a positive electrode formed as a metal gauze-reinforced, rolled electrode, and a negative electrode formed by impregnating a nickel foam with a paste of Li-intercalating graphite. Such electrodes are from 3 to 4 times thicker than the thin-film electrodes fabricated with prior, knife-coating techniques and employed in wound cells, and are therefore particularly suitable for constructing prismatic cells. By prerolling the as yet empty nickel foam to specific thicknesses, the capacity per unit area of the negative electrode can be tailored to that of the positive, rolled electrode. By rerolling the impregnated nickel foam, optimal energy density and electrode capacity is achieved, at a porosity of from 50 to 60%.

    摘要: A spiral-wound galvanic cell is based upon a lithium system with a nonaqueous electrolyte, and includes a positive electrode, the carrier of which is clamped within the slit of a simple metal splint which serves as the winding mandrel and current collector. Contact with the metal splint is established by a leaf spring associated with the housing cover, which then serves as the positive terminal post for the cell. A high specific contact pressure is developed at this connection by providing the leaf spring with a punched hole which rests on thicker top portions of the metal splint. A small metal plate pressed through the lithium electrode and its separator establishes electrical contact between the lithium electrode and the interior wall of the housing vessel, which then serves as the negative cell pole.

    摘要: The superconducting current-limiting device contains at least one coil (61), the conductive track of which is formed from at least one band-shaped superconductor (17), where a holding element (2, 41, 10 51, 62) is located between adjacent coil windings. The holding element (2, 41, 51, 62) is constructed wider than the superconductor (17) in the axial direction of the coil (61). The holding element (2, 41, 51, 62) further includes a flat strip (11) and an undulating strip (12, 42, 52). The flat strip (11) extends essentially parallel to the band-shaped superconductor (17) at an essentially constant distance (22) therefrom. The undulating strip (12, 42, 52) extends essentially parallel to the flat strip (11), and in the longitudinal direction periodically has regions (15, 43, 53) distant from and regions (13) close to the flat strip (11). The regions (13) of the undulating strip (12, 42, 52) near to the flat strip have a mechanical connection (21) to the flat strip (11). The regions (15, 43, 53) of the undulating strip far from the flat strip have recesses (16) of such a kind that an at least approximately close-fitting mounting of the band-shaped superconductor (17) relative to the flat strip (11) is facilitated.

The apparatus includes at least one electrical line having a first end at a first temperature and a second end at a second temperature being lower than the first temperature.     摘要: An apparatus for treating uremic patients by means of ultrafiltration, in which the withdrawn blood is separated by means of a hemofilter into plasma water and residual blood and the plasma water is exchanged in an exchange device. The latter comprises two chambers I and II, separated from one another by a flexible or movable partition, of which chamber I is filled with fluid and can additionally receive the plasma water, and chamber II contains substitution solution. By exerting pressure in the partition, a suction is caused in chamber I and a pressure in chamber II, so that chamber I can take up the plasma water, while the same volume of substitution solution is released from chamber II.
