摘要: Disclosed herein are non-aqueous compositions including: a flowable Part A including at least one resin and Reactant A; and a flowable Part B including at least one resin and Reactant B; wherein at least one of flowable Part A and flowable Part B further includes a free radically polymerizable resin; wherein at least one of flowable Part A and flowable Part B further includes a free radical initiator system; wherein flowable Part A and flowable Part B are capable of being mixed to provide a flowable mixed composition; wherein when flowable Part A and flowable Part B are mixed, Reactant A and Reactant B are capable of interacting to cause a non-free radical reaction within a first staging time to provide a first staged stable consistency for the mixed composition; wherein Reactant A comprises an acid and Reactant B comprises a base, and upon mixing flowable Part A and flowable Part B, the Reactant A acid is capable of reacting with the Reactant B base in an ionic acid-base reaction; and wherein the mixed composition having the first staged stable consistency is capable of forming a hardened dental composition upon initiation of free radical polymerization.

摘要: Composite particles are provided including a chemical blowing agent particle encapsulated within a shell including an uncrosslinked thermoplastic material. The uncrosslinked thermoplastic material exhibits at least a certain minimum complex viscosity at a decomposition temperature of the chemical blowing agent particle. Also described are compositions and foam compositions containing the composite particles. Further, articles are provided including the foam compositions, such as a sheet, tape, or hearing protection article. Methods of making and using the foam compositions are additionally described herein.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a curable, one-part epoxy/thiol resin composition. The composition comprises an epoxy/thiol resin mixture including: an epoxy resin component including an epoxy resin having at least two epoxide groups per molecule, a thiol component including a polythiol compound having at least two primary thiol groups, and a nitrogen-containing catalyst for the epoxy resin. The epoxy/thiol resin mixture further includes metal nanoparticles (e.g., silver nanoparticles, copper nanoparticles, or both), dispersed in the epoxy/thiol resin mixture. The present disclosure provides a method of curing a curable, one-part epoxy/thiol resin composition, including providing a curable, one-part epoxy/thiol resin composition and heating the composition to a temperature of at least 50° C.

摘要: Composite particles are provided that can be used to cure epoxy resins. More particularly, the composite particles have a porous polymeric core particle, a curing agent and/or a curing catalyst for an epoxy resin positioned within the porous polymeric core particle, and a fluoropolymer-containing coating layer around the porous polymeric core particle. Additionally, curable compositions are provided that are mixtures containing an epoxy resin and the composite particles. The epoxy resin typically does not react until the curable composition is heated causing the release of the curing agent and/or curing catalyst from the composite particle. Further, cured compositions formed from the curable composition are provided.

摘要: A thermal indicator, a thermal indicating composition (1), as well as two kinds of thermal indicating structures (11) are disclosed. The thermal indicator comprises an organic solid material (2) having a melting point higher than ambient temperature and a dye (3) which contacts the organic solid material (2) and is capable of being dissolved in the organic solid material (2) when the thermal indicator is heated to the melting point of the organic solid material (2). The thermal indicator, the thermal indicating composition (1), as well as these two kinds of thermal indicating structures (1) have simple structures and can be manufactured by a simple process. Furthermore, the existence of the dye (3) in its crystalline state offers significant resistance to UV radiation in outdoor applications.
