In contrast, when the heating capacity is not obtained by flowing the coolant through the inside of the indoor heat exchanger, the coolant flows through a first water-refrigerant heat exchanger and a refrigerant in a heat pump cycle circulates so that heat of the coolant is absorbed by the refrigerant in the first water-refrigerant heat exchanger, and the air is heated in the indoor heat exchanger by using heat of the refrigerant that has absorbed the heat of the coolant.

An in-vehicle power transmission apparatus is equipped with a motor-generator working as an engine to drive a vehicle and a power split device made up of a plurality of power split rotors. A first one of the rotors is coupled to a driven wheel of the vehicle, while a second one of the rotors is coupled to an accessory such as an air compressor of an air conditioner. The speed of the second rotor is controllable independently of that of the driven wheel. This eases restrictions on the supply of power produced by the generator-motor to the accessory. Alternatively, the rotors are so linked that when the speed of the first rotor is not zero (0), the speed of the second rotor has one of zero (0) and a value other than zero (0), thus ensuring the stability in supplying the power to drive the vehicle to the accessory.

The main-flow refrigerant is decompressed in an expansion unit while expansion energy of the main-flow refrigerant is converted to mechanical energy. Thus, the enthalpy of the main-flow refrigerant is reduced along an isentropic curve. Therefore, even when the pressure within the evaporator increases, refrigerating effect is prevented from being greatly reduced in the refrigerant cycle system. Further, refrigerant flowing into the radiator is compressed using the converted mechanical energy. Thus, coefficient of performance of the refrigerant cycle system is improved.

A housing of a brake booster 100 includes a pair of shells 1 and 5 and a ring 3 interposed therebetween which cooperatively define an interior space for accommodating a power piston 13. The interior space is divided into a front chamber 15 and a rear chamber 16 partitioned by the power piston 13. The power piston 13 has a diaphragm 2 interposed between the front chamber 15 and the rear chamber 16. The diaphragm 2 is shiftable in an axial direction thereof in response to pressure imbalance between the front chamber 15 and the rear chamber 16. A convolution chamber 2d is provided between an inner side of the housing and an outer peripheral edge of the diaphragm 2. The convolution chamber 2d is defined by a resilient annular member flattened in the axial direction and isolated from both the front chamber 15 and the rear chamber 16. The annular member elastically rolls along the inner side of the housing in response to pressure imbalance between the convolution chamber 2d and one of the front 15 and rear chambers 16. And, a port 28 is formed in the ring 3 to supply constant pressure into the convolution chamber 2b.

The loop element has a first hollow portion passing therethrough in a given direction. The antenna module further includes an element support formed from an insulator and arranged so as to fill a space between the ground element and the antenna element and substantially fully cover an outer surface of the loop element. The element support is formed with a second hollow portion passing therethrough in the same direction as that of the first hollow portion of the loop element.
