摘要: PSF coding has become well known in recent years. Although it enables significant increases in the depth of field, defocus introduces artifacts in images that are a major detraction from the final image quality. A method is described that enables the deduction or defocus and consequently the removal of these artifacts. The principle of the disclosed techniques involves iteratively adjusting the restoration algorithm according to a chosen image or artifact metric and choosing the defocus parameter that yields the image the lowest level of artifact.

摘要: A method and system is described to process a data string (e.g., an XML data string). The method comprises accessing the data string to identify a plurality of data segments and a plurality of predefined reference character sequences. Each predefined reference character sequence may be located between adjacent data segments. The method further comprises creating a data structure to identify a location and length of each data segment within the data string, and a location of each predefined reference character sequences within the data string. A method and system to provide an output data string for transmission to a destination device is also described. The method comprises accessing a data structure to identify a sequence of data segments and a plurality of predefined reference character sequences. The data segments and the predefined reference character sequences are then combined based on the data structure to provide the output data string.

摘要: A method is disclosed for carrying out network device provisioning and configuration, and communication of other information to a network device, automatically and in an assured manner. A configuration service receives a request from a network device to provide configuration information. The configuration service retrieves a template representing the configuration from a storage location, e.g., a directory service. The configuration service also retrieves one or more parameter values specific to the device. Device-specific values are instantiated for the generic parameters in the template, based on the retrieved values. The resulting configuration is stored in XML format using XML tags to delimit configuration commands, tested for well-formed-ness, and syntax checked. A reliable transport protocol carries the configuration information to the device. At the device, a configuration agent syntax checks the embedded configuration information, and then applies the configuration information to the device. As a result, automatic network provisioning may be accomplished remotely, without requiring a skilled technician to visit customer premises to carry out configuration. The process may be integrated with an event service to enable multiple devices to concurrently receive re-configuration without special synchronization logic.

摘要: An injector for a material transport system includes a helical inducer having a housing with a fluid input port, a material input port and a discharge port, each port is open to an internal chamber of the housing. A rotor with a helical blade is mounted to the housing and constrained for rotation within the chamber. A fluid entering the fluid input port is formed into a fluid vortex having a ventilated core by the rotating rotor blade. A feeder assembly feeds the material to be transported into the material input port where it is carried by the fluid vortex to the discharge port for transmission to a hydraulic transport line.

摘要: A system and an apparatus are disclosed for carrying out automatic network device provisioning and configuration. A configuration service receives a request from a network device to provide configuration information. The configuration service retrieves a template describing the device configuration, where the template associates one symbolic reference to one parameter that may receive values specific to particular devices. Based at least on the symbolic reference and the request, the configuration service retrieves a value of the parameter that is specific to the network device. A device-specific instance of the configuration information is created and stored based at least one the template and the value of the parameter. The configuration information is stored in XML format and conforms to an XML DTD.

摘要: A method is disclosed for adaptively coupling processing components in a distributed system. In one aspect, a second component requests an interaction with a first component by sending a service access request to access a first service of the first component. The service access request specifies parameters relating to a proposed level of coupling between the first component and the second component. The second component receives a service response from the first component; the service response specifies counter-proposed parameters relating to a proposed level of coupling between the first component and the second component. The second component determines whether the service response indicates that the first service may be provided. If so, then an agreed-upon level of coupling is established between the first component and second component, and the components interact to receive the service. The level of coupling among the components may be re-negotiated at any time by exchanging values in a coupling context. As a result, a component can selectively and with fine granularity allow other components to access its data or services.

摘要: An improved dough sheeting system and method which allow for improved selection of sheeter gap size and which provide a quick release mechanism to prevent damage to sheeter rollers. Hydraulic actuators, attached to a movable roller, hold the roller in a fixed position relative to an opposing roller. The actuators are engaged with a closing force in excess of the force exerted by the sheeted material against the rollers thereby ensuring that the rollers maintain a gap of fixed width. Thermal expansion blocks mounted to the frame or housing of the opposing roller provide a means for fine adjustments in the sheeter gap.
